best controller solution for mother 3 rom when playing on a PC?

Well, I finally have Mother 3 on my HTPC on my 73" big screen in my living room, would a snes controller via usb accommodate game boy advance controls? anyone tried this?

    It would work fine. I have a Retro USB cord for SNES controllers and it works great.

    does your snes controller work on only snes games? or would it cover all buttons on a GBA game?

    should work without any trouble. the gba has less buttons than snes. the buttons may not default match up to the ones you want em to, but you should be able to change that in your emu. but for a game like mother it doesnt really matter as youre not running and jumping all the time. just making choices. great game. enjoy!

    I use a CC pro with an adapter for my yearly playthrough. Love it.
