Jeremy
hehehehe, I couldn't resist
Well, thought I would finally get around to participating so here is my submission:
945,800
Everytime I got to the training stage, it made me start back at the begining of the first level. I guess I remember playing the 1st one as a kid. Made it through the 1st stage 3 times before dying, lol.

Is it just me or the participation score is very high?
It does seem a little high. Finding the Nuke factory in stage 1 helps, but even with getting that, I'm having a hard time getting to the participation score. I've gotten close a couple times, like 50,000 points away from participation, but still haven't achieved it yet.

Yeah, it took me like 5 or 6 tries before I cracked 600k without dying. This game is tough, my method was very slow when I finally broke it, felt like I was tip toeing around, but it obviously paid off with my score.

Agreed, very tough game. I've been trying to take things real slow too. Although, sometimes I take it a little too slow and end up getting hit by a lightning bolt or touching a gear in stage 2. I think I'll get it eventually.
Good to see some struggle with this one, should make things easier for me, but I haven't played it in years, gotta relearn the game.
My new camera arrived today, Nikon Coolpix S3100, unfortunately it turned out to be more than a piece of crap, very first pic was blurry, messed with it for well over an hour on almost every setting, taking a whole crap load of pictures inside my house and outside, every single picture turned out either blurry or with lots of noise in images. So upsetting, returning it tomorrow. My old camera, 6 years old, while I always had to struggle with it, when it does take good pics I'm really happy with it.
So I take out my old camera, take dead batteries out, put the batteries in charger, messed with that a bit, the light finally came on, batteries are charging, about time (still should buy me a new one so I don't have to fight to get it to work), damn finicky thing made me miss out on some NoES scores, so if they charge like they are supposed to, I may be able to get in on the Robocop 2 action.
Stage 2 is freakin' nutz! Only got to once in my play throughs. I found that I really don't care for this game at all. I had to borrow smeagolsama's copy to play, needless to say, it's going back home today, lol.
I've found that I don't care for this game much either. I want to like it but I'm having a hard time doing just that. Robocop's movement is so weird how he starts off moving real slow and then suddeny starts moving really fast like he's on wheels. And then when you stop him from moving, he slides like 100 feet before coming to a stop, which is a problem if you're trying to make a sudden stop in front of a pit. Once this contest is over, this game is going back up on the game shelf for a long time lol.
Okay, first score, got almost to the end of stage 3, took me about a dozen tries to get to this stage, didn't have to repeat any stages nor have to do any training, though it probably could've helped my score.
Update, got to stage 5, and a big jump up in score for me too. I almost deleted it too, my camera isn't updating the thumbnail pics, thought it was some other image until I clicked on it and it was my Robocop 2 score afterall, close one.
Update, higher score. Still far off from the two leading scores.
Another update, not by much though.
Yet another small update, made it to the next stage. Ugh, lots of difficult jumps in this one, and rolling barrels.
Score upon 1st death 1,345,800

Enjoying this game, and at least making the time to play this more than others I have recently aside from Super C, but also I have a lot of days of work coming up, so doing what I can now. I upped my score a bit, in the lead now, for now.
Been trying to pass the sludge factory, already done used nearly a dozen continues, the best that I can say is that I'm getting some practice towards getting through it on one life when next I get up to this point, but can't see that happening so easily.
5,192,500
Hey, I'm fine with that. Awesome. You must know this game very well. With that kind of score, probably going to blow all of us away.
Well, I proposed it because I've always liked this game, a lot, it was a childhood game for me (you hurt my feelings Kevin, hehehe). It's the kind of game I can do (for the first half at least) like a dance, similar to Kevin and Double Dragon. Now Megan, don't think people here don't have the chance to get competitive. If you do some research on all the secrets of the game (I'm not telling ), and manage to get past the second half, you have a strong possibility of winning. Not very easy, but not impossible either.
Keep up those scores!
No 'second chance' at the shooting range.
I think if you fail the shooting range even once and have to replay a stage, should be considered a life deduction, as is thinking about it, someone could replay the first stage, very easily, over and over again just to rack up points. I tested this out a little while ago, got over 3 million points playing the first stage over and over again before I got bored with the testing. I have to keep moving forward, feel like I'm getting somewhere, otherwise for me, just doesn't seem worth the effort, getting high points is easy if you find a loop or safe method, but then where's the challenge in that. So far, I refuse to accept even getting through a stage if I have to play the shooting range, means that I'm not good enough to make it with what is found in each stage. But regardless of the rules, I'm still going at it as is in my own strict way, and just enjoying the challenge of not only trying to rack up a high score, but to see how far I can get on just one life.
What I'm surprised about is that even after failing the shooting range twice, and then afterward not even being allowed to do them again, just being sent back to the first stage again without any more chances at that, that the game don't deduct a life from you. I was going to test it out further, but getting tired, got work tomorrow, thankfully not early though, still, I've played enough of this for tonight-this morning.
