I found a great SNES game yesterday when I bought a SNES system locally...

So yesterday I was at a local shop looking at stuff, and see a SNES that looks to be in great shape with hookups, 1 controller and one game. It's 49.99$... Not a great deal, but I was buying it with the intention to list it in my eBay store with a Mario World and 1 more controller...

When I take a look at the game with it, it's Earth Bound... Never played that game... I go check it out on eBay I'm saying to myself "Probably another 0.01$ game...". Well, in the completed listings, it sold succefully from 50$ to 80$+ cart only. Was this a good game or it's only rare or something?

Now that was a great find with that.

I just picked up a SNES at a flea market for 10 bucks about 2 weeks ago. I need to test it out and sell that bitch. Mine didn't come with an Earthbound though, easy money.

Boring, indeed...I never understood the fascination with it myself. To explain what it goes for...it's a cult classic, not very rare (unless it's complete in the big box with the strategy guide, and even then, it's only somewhat rare...not nearly in the same ballpark as Fun 'n Games or Aero Fighters or anything like that).

You'll really need to do more research before you go out buying stuff to list on ebay. An SNES with Super Mario World will most of the time only get what you just paid for that system. The Earthbound saved your ass, but save your money next time unless you know what you're buying.

Nice find with the Earthbound, but Pedro is right, $50.00 is the price I sell my SNES systems for, I sell the model 2 for $10.00 more. This is all locally too in my booth.
