Blank PMs and an inability to obtain search results

so today my PMs started to be blank whenever I tried sending them to other members. I know i'm not the only one as I have heard others complain about this. 

in addition, the search function has been messed up for quite a while.  I try to search in the "search category" box and it brings back a blank screen, or i get one page of results and am not able to go to page 2, 3, etc. 

 
just voicing issues.  thanks!

    I have the PM issue also. I usually just wait for the page to load all the way before clicking onto the window to start putting in text.

    I have had the "blank" thing for PMs and thread replies. It's just a matter of waiting for everything to load. Reload the main page, then click and wait.



    As for the blank search, yes, I have also had the blank page 2+ on search results.

    I have had the pm issue too, it is definitely intermediate as it only happens once in awhile

    this shit is getting out of hand for me. it sends 2 or 3 blank PM's nearly every time. it is super annoying! I NEVER had this problem before may 24.

    now i can't even quote someone's post and make my own post. is this Java related? I recently updated my java and then all this shit started happening. I'm also on firefox. i refuse to use IE.

    It's doing this to me for PMs. 6/7 of the last PM's I've sent have resulted in blank text being sent, and I can't seem to find any cause for it...

    Is there something in particular you can do to reproduce the issue everytime?

    It seemed to be happening to me when I sent a PM to someone that I had already PMed in the exchange of PMs. As in:



    I PM them

    They PM me

    I PM them

    I PM them (blank PM)



    However, I was able to send a PM just now after being the one that sent the last PM, and it worked this time. So I don't know.

    No paul just seems to be totally random its pretty odd

    ^this is why I haven't fixed it -- I can't reproduce it. I've had it happen to me 3 times ever, and yet I still wasn't able to find the cause (yet). I noticed it happened when we came to the new server. I'm wondering if it has something to do with a script not getting loaded, but that's just a hunch.

    Ya its really weird like honestly its never happened to me until like a few days ago (like 3) and since then its been like every 2 or 3 pms or so. Not a huge bother, just letting it be aware. Thanx

    I search for me alot. And Almost half the time I can't find some of my posts. Then I search more specific for the one I'm looking for and I can find it. They are all just not showing up in my RASK1904 search.

    Another PM issue- anytime I try to give my paypal email in a PM, it attaches like half of my email address to the beginning of it. I've gotten around it by just breaking up my email address into two separate lines, just wondered if that happened to anybody else.



    I'm using IE8, if that helps.

    I use firefox and I get the same thing I have just been separating them recently myself

    It's interesting you note that because it was found to be somewhat related to how people use browsers (ie, going to a page, clicking 'back', entering data, submitting, clicking 'back', etc.).

    Interesting.  I figured it was related to certain browsers or users, because the issue never happened to me once.  So it didn't truly appear to be at random.  Glad you fixed it... debugging is often harder than the design itself!

    I got a blank PM yesterday. It don't happen too often, I usually see the preview to the PM saying "..."



    I just reply back and tell them to resend. No biggie.
