I know this isn't sega age but...
I saw this little gem of a device that randomly goes by a few names at Frys yesterday and almost bought, now I think I have to go back and get it.
Basically it's $40, you get this handheld, GOAC (genesis on a chip) setup. Built in rechargeable battery core to it, good solid screen and speaker and it's 6 button. Thing is default it has 20 games, now not all that interesting right? Seems after doing some searching I found this great article breaking it down entirely: http://tgigreeny.com/2011/02/11/gamesretrotech-review-mega-drive-ultimate-arcade-portable/
It appears the system is meant to be used for gray area activity, they just don't market it as such, just that will run more games in the future using the SD slot. Thing is, that curious individual went and dropped a bunch of BIN files (aka Genesis/Mega Drive ROMS) he had lying around on there and guess what, they worked. Seems the only bad part is, even with SD card, there's no possibility of saving games (boo for RPG lovers.)
I just figured I'd throw this out there as information, but also curious if anyone here has seen one before or tried it as i'm curious if it really is worth it or not.

For a good price, I would say go for it. But I dont think that $40 its good.
You can find more information on the net, even video reviews. Example: http://www.dascheap.com/portable-genesis-w-sd-card-slot-gopher-portable-genesis-system-pal-compatible.html
I've tried various stuff like Young Indy, Streets of Rage 1-3, Vectorman(graphical glitching, bad which 2 does too), Aladdin, around 5 other games starting in A, Street Fighter 2 CE, and Castlevania. Anything I've thrown at it works or goofs as I stated it. I haven't tried the TV output yet, but so far I'm impressed with this thing and it does have color changing lights to warn when the battery is charging (red), charged (green), and a front facing panic button when it's almost out. D-pad is very responsive but it is a bit of a rocker so you got to be careful, and the 6 face buttons work great.
