Super Metroid Complete Map made of screen shots

Hi, I just recently finished making a complete map for Super Metroid on the SNES.  It has taken me a little over a year (working on and off) to put this all together.

I used the zSNES emulator along with a program called vSNES to extract all the graphics to use for my map.  I had to capture each layer individually and then reassemble them in Photoshop.

Let me know any thoughts or comments on the maps.

  • Wow dude, nice work. I was just playing this the other day and I said to my buddy, "Damn I need a map for this game"
  • That is Awesome!!

Im a hardcore Zelda fan, but the Metroid series is right up there with my favorites.
  • woot woot!
  • Awesome.
  • Nice work!....Castlevania SoTN. Get it?
  • That is awesome! Nice work, man!
  • That's pretty freakin' amazing. It's a good thing I didn't finish the game before now, because I'm shooting for that 100% by getting all of those well-hidden upgrades.
  • Very nice work!
  • Thanks for all the great feedback. I'm glad to hear the Super Metroid maps went over well.
  • I seen some of your maps a long while back, lot of time went into them, all put together very well. And here you are selling them, and I was thinking just a few days ago, trying to come up with other ideas to make some more money on the side, since I enjoyed making hand-drawn maps so much years ago, why not do screenshot ones and sell 'em, looks like you beat me to it. Eh, but I really don't have that much time for a map making undertaking right now anyway. Heck the only one I done completely is for Arkista's Ring, and the outer part of each town in Phantom Fighter, and those map projects were small and they took a long time. Certainly if I were rich, your maps would look great in a gameroom I have yet to have.
  • Way cool maps! Will have to look into some of those sometime (mainly Zelda and Metroid maps).
