300 Cart Milestone

Hi everyone. I just broke the 300 cart milestone this weekend 303 to be exact. I know that reaching this milestone is great and all . But Nes game collecting is really starting to become frustrating . Why you may ask. I just picked up a monster score of around 140 carts . This weekend 80 of them came in the mail from really cheap bulk lots that I bought an eBay and an additional 60 or so that I picked up in the wild this weekend my problem is that with all those carts I only ended up with 37. New games to add to my collection. Meanwhile my doubles collection continues to swell and is reaching around 165 carts. I am not going to quit collecting NES game it's just that it's becoming really frustrating for me. So I think I will take a break for a month or so and enjoy what I got now. That way I can regroup mentally and financially.Edit can a mod please move this to the collector's corner . I accidentally posted in the wrong area.

    That's why I don't buy big lots on eBay. I bought 2 auctions off eBay early on and then swore it off. I'd prefer to find all my games in the wild. I'm at 389 unique carts (2 versions of Metroid, 2 grey/gold link and zelda) but no other variations, so I am close to passing 400 (hopefully in the next few weeks). It'll depend on yard sales, CL and flea markets! The rarest game I was able to get in the wild so far has to be DT2, Waynes's World CIB or RC Pro am 2. It's just such a great feeling to pay $2 for a game that would cost you $50+ on eBay.

    Well you might as well sell your doubles...that can take your mind off of collecting for ~month if you try to sell them individually or in small lots. Then you'd have more cash to find games in the wild (which is hard!). Best of luck, you are too far to quit now!
