Repro NES baggies

You know, the little plastic bags that came with some NES games?  I've been wondering if anyone makes reproductions of these.  It's just such an odd shape, I've been using plastic sandwich bags but they just don't cut it

A few other things:

-Plastic baggies, cardboard inserts, and plastic inserts for Game Boy (+Color/Advance) games.  Do people make reproductions of these?

-Cardboard inserts for SNES/N64 boxes?  These would be useful.

And if no one makes these things, am I the only one interested in them?

Comments

  • I for one would be interested in the snes and n64 inserts....I have some plastic baggies for gba games....not many, maybe 20 and I have about 20 gba insert boxes if interested..pm me...
  • I don't think anyone here will make inserts... there have been problems with deceitful reproduction of some kind of inserts (like Section Z maps and Caltron 6 in 1 questionaires). Bags shouldn't be a problem I guess, if they're just plain bags.

I don't think he's talking about those kind of inserts.  I think he's talking about the cardboard ones that held the cart in place in the box, so it didn't rattle around in there.

Yeah, that's what I'm talking about.  I'm all for having everything original, I'd prefer that.. but those cardboard holders and plastic baggies were so basic that it truly doesn't matter to me.  It wouldn't even need to be the same style as the originals, just something to give the box some structure to it and keep the stuff from rattling around.

  • Heh, well for me tracking down over 1,000 plastic NES baggies has been a challenge but I managed to do it. INcluding enough of the Zelda specific ones for all my variants.

In terms of the SNES cardboard inserts that guy in Las Vegas, bigdaddyboomboom or whatever the name is makes them and sells them on eBay.

Jealous!  What's special about the Zelda ones?  And thanks for the reference.

  • They have a big circle hole cut in them so the gold cart shows through the hole in the box.
  • ^only Erik would know that.
  • I have my zelda with the only hole in one baggie....the thing too...the carts go in the bags upside down....check it....and all the inserts come in the baggie with the game.....when you open a new sealed game, just like 1989,!
  • I "know" a guy who makes and sells repro SNES and N64 cardboard inserts on eBay.....

Contact me directly for a little better price than listed for on eBay.

  • I'm looking for those GB/GBC cardboard inserts/game holders as well
  • Bumping an old topic here but I was wondering if it was possible to get the plastic bags that covered the NES console, controllers and power supply. I've got my original childhood NES which has been kept away in safe keeping and would like to complete it.
