I can honestly say, I've done the most frustrating...

It's almost 5 in the morning here, and since about 2:30 I've been trying to fix my Playstation 3 controller. Oh, everything is back in working order, but as soon as I try to put the back on it and put some screws in it, something doesn't fit,, or the casing won't fit. It wouldn't be as bad if I wasn't THIS close to finishing it.

Just venting. =D

  • I need to fix one of my PS3 controllers as well, the X button keeps sticking, and it's really annoying when you are playing a button masher.
  • Had to change the battery on mine. Took me about 5 times and every time I would think I was done one of the R or L buttons wouldn't be seated properly lol.
  • That's exactly what's happening with me. The "trigger" buttons. Or more so, the piece that goes between the shoulder buttons.
  • On a side note, but still somewhat relevant to the topic of controllers: I work at a video game company and I use an Xbox 360 controller a lot. I like the design, but the d-pad is horrible. It's always being finicky and unresponsive. While at home I play a lot of NES, and I love the way the D-pad feels... and it works great! Got me thinking.... it's pretty amazing how solid those controllers still are after 25 years. Sure they are very basic and primitive compared to modern controllers, but man.... I still love them.
