Congrats on the huge accomplishment...I have to ask, when you complete a CIB set do you guys forget about that set entirely or do you still scour CL and ebay for possible resales?
Time to get into ColecoVision my friend. I have a CIB Donkey Kong just for you!
You still have that? Wow, I'd love to get that from you!

Awesome! I can't wait to see pictures.
Outside of Dream and yourself are there any other known CIB GB set owners?
There's one other collector who has remained a bit anonymous that completed his set a few days/weeks before me. I'll let this person decide when he wants to announce he's got a set as well.

Wow! Congrats Dain. Seems so long ago since I mailed out that copy of Amazing Tater to you
That was Spud's Adventure, and THANK YOU again -- what a horrible one to try and find

Congrats Dain!!!
Now you need to go after all the Gameboy variants CIB. That would be awsome to see!
I still plan on getting all of the non -1 games, which is another feat altogether. The good news is I've been conscious of this since day one and have slowly found most of them. I think I have 4-5 left to have all non-variants.

This is the first set I've actually completed, so we'll see. I think I'll probably set up saved searched for the few non-variants I'm looking for and then move on to the next set. There's no reason to have me meddling in auctions that I already have. I'll leave those to the next wave of GB collectors.
This set was a lot more difficult that NES IMO. I started with my first purchase (Daedalian Opus) on May 5th, 2008 and ended with my purchase of Wayne's World CIB on June 28th, 2011. I've never taken a break from Gameboy, so that's over 3 years of very active looking.
I need 1 manual to complete my N64 set (well, technically it's a variant), so once I have that, I may move on to filling in SNES or GBC, two collections I'm well over 50% done with.
Just had to brag for a second that I've solidified deals for the last 2 boxes I need to complete my CIB Gameboy set. I'm SOOOOO stoked, it's not even funny. Even my wife is tired of hearing about it at this point
I'll post some updated pics when the last two arrive.
Dain does that mean your going to auction off the entire thing off with 50% of the proceeds going to save Japan and 50% going to Campout 2012!

It must be a great feeling to complete a set. Can't wait to see pics.
What kind of variants if any do you have? Do you have all the players choice?

So you have a complete cart set of N64 games?? You should go ahead and get the badge for that one. Then upgrade it when you get that last manual.
