FamicomBox

Ok, I'm really pissed off right now...

I don't know if I'm going to cry or just laugh...

Think I'm going to have a nervous breakdown.

I got the FamicomBox today with almost the exact same damage as the FamicomStation.

  • You're having a run of the worst luck ever. That totally sucks.
  • Yeah, image thats hard to believe it has the same damaage. Thats to bad ... do they work though?
  • OMFG That is crazy dude. I would be ready to cry right now. Was it from Japangames also?

  • The FamicomStation work but this FamicomBox has an error when trying to read all the carts at startup.

I'm going to open it up and take a look.

From now on I shall be called Mr. BadLuck image
  • Damn , that's some serious negative karma you have working against you. Can't you complain at the post office or something ?
  • The package was insured but the whole process is a real pain in the *** and take from 3-6 months.

And IF I get any money from the insurance it doesn't make my box whole again

I don't know what to do right now, I'm a bit stunned right now...

BTW, the box works fine, the games didn't sit whole the way into the connectors.
  • Damn, that is seriously crappy...

I hope everything works out for you, maybe they will find both covers...

  • Man i feel your pain!

No, this one was from another seller from Japan.....
  • which seller? Andyarcade maybe?

  • Damn, that sucks man. Were these poorly packaged in any way, or was the damage caused primarily by extremely poor handling?
  • Could you take it to a body shop and see if they could repair the damage? The might be able to.
  • Someone good with bondo prob could make it look at least presentable.

  • I'm a bit handy with fiberglass and bondo myself image

So when I get the replacement facepanel for the FamicomStation I was thinking of using it to make a mold so I can make a new faceplate for the FamicomBox.

The result would probably look like crap... image
  • No, crap is what it looks like now.

I think you can only do better!

Good luck Gameboy. Sorry all this happened!!

Thanks for the cheer up image

I don't know what I've done to deserve all this bad luck...

Oh well, at least I've got my health..... image
  • I don't have the words to express how sickening this is...Wow. I'm so sorry. This is the worst luck I've seen for video game stuff.

  • That is absolutely terrible... The Famicom Box damage is even in the same corner as the Famicom Station, to top it all. This makes me want to either play or hear taps or something...I'm quite deeply shocked and saddened. I hope it turns out alright for you...aw, heck with that kind of empty and overused words... In all seriousness, look at it this way: When you're at the bottom...there's only one way to go (up) image .
  • at least an empty box didn't show up O_O

  • I went to the postal office to check out about the insurance claim.

They said that I had to fill out a form and send the package to their insurance claim department (or whatever), then they would determine if I was entitled to any compensation.

Well, I wasn't very keen on sending my FamicomBox out on another trip to possible get damaged even more, so I choose to not go through with the claim.
  • I think I would go ahead and send it. You have pictures, so if its damaged even more then they will definately be at fault.
  • I never have had any luck with claims in the past. Why I don't even bother to get insurance anymore.

Yea, but if I get any money at all, it won't fix my FamiBox...

As NGD says, claims rarely goes through...

They would probably conclude that it was poorly packed, which it wasn't.

Next time I buy a FamiBox I'll ask to have all the corner protected with lots of styrofoam.

At least I got some cool FamiBox games image
  • That made me sad to see that
