NintendoAge 2011 Weekly Contest Presents: Battletoads
Hey everyone. This week it's going to be Battletoads. Here are the rules:

The contest ends Sunday, 7/10/11 at 10 PM NA time. Your user name must be in the picture for your score to be valid. The entire TV screen, or computer monitor if you are playing on an emulator, MUST be in the picture for the score to be valid. No partial screenshots will be considered or accepted. Oh, and hey, I got this one! If I'm able to have the tv for it, I'll be playing this one on my NES. I got several days off from work this week, should give me a little bit of time, more than I had for Kick Master, to play this one.

We did this one in 2009. I thought it would be fun to re-visit one of the games we did before so some newer members and members who didn't get a chance to play it the first time around could get a chance to participate in this one. Also, at some point this year, we will re-visit Castlevania.
Castlevania sounds good, but we'll have to make sure what happened last time don't this time, it was too easy looping the score. Was Kung Fu ever done, or did I miss that one?
We did Kung Fu last year.
This time around for Castelvania, it will probably just be one playthrough.
Yeah, I remember now missing Kung Fu, it was during that rough point in my life, made a few post about it, would've had that one easily. I was really sad that day, wanted to play that one so bad then. But, I'm sure it'll roll around again some time, just like Battletoads is. And now that I can play it on an actual NES again, I may, not sure yet, but may record my best attempt. Like I used to. Just a thought. But then also thinking I might still hold off, wait til my collection grows a bit more, get back most of my favorites so that way I can keep recording for every or at least almost every contest.

Heck, my first time (and only time) beating this game was back at that first contest for it in 2009, maxed out the score, but had 17 deaths then. Don't know how well I could do on one life, gotta get in some practice again for sure.
I should get back at collecting NES games to take part of these contests more often.
And I am certainly looking forward for revisiting Punch Out! next year. I have gotten slight better at it.

Woohoo! First game I can join in for the year! (how bad is that?) Of course, only having played the game a few times, it'll be participation points only I'm sure. If I can even find my dang camera.

Died in a really easy spot. Smashed into one of those gray pods that moves up and down. Can't believe I hit it.
