Also for everyone, do NOT use Pricecharting for Atari commons. Rares sure, but Pricecharting for whatever reason is way too high on commons. Games that we (and Game Swap) sell for $0.25, $0.49 and $0.99 can be $5-7 on there. And if you go look at the listings Pricecharting generates that's the case there too. I don't know how it turns all those penny Combats on Amazon into $2-3, but it does. It has gotten better than it was about that but it's still pretty bad.

The pricecharting listings for Atari commons gets inflated by BINs that bake the cost of free shipping into the price.

Virginia: -There is a cool retro game store in Roanoke called Electronic Expo

-G2K Games in Cedar Bluff is now CLOSED

You appear to be in my neck of the woods!  Sad to hear about Pixelnation, I picked up a few games from there about a year ago for really good deal.  Was in a shoddy part of town though.

Never heard of Electronic Expo.  What is that like?

    Thanks for the updates!
  • PS - Everything is updated! Sorry for the delays, busy month!

    Colorado, somewhat close to Denver.

  • Here are some stores in the St. Louis area, but on the IL side of the river. I don't see any of these on the main list.

    Gamebusters Video Games

    2700 Madison Ave.

    Granite City, IL 62040

Located in my home town. Small selection, but good prices. Has stuff from Atari 2600 to current gen.

    Grumpy Bob's Emporium

    2915 N Center St.

    Maryville, IL 62062

Huge selection, but prices are a little higher. Has stuff from Atari 2600 to current gen. Some hard to find stuff.

    JVS Gaming

    2809 Homer Adams Parkway

    Alton, IL 62002

Just opened a few weeks ago. Pretty small store, but good prices. Mostly PS2 era, but has stuff from NES to current gen.
  • And here are two stores in Springfield, IL where I grew up.

    Disc Replay

    2829 S Veterans Pkwy

    Springfield, IL 62704

    http://www.discreplay.com/

Not a huge selection, but their prices tend to be pretty good. They carry all generations.

    Killen Enterprises

    1650 Wabash Ave Ste G

    Springfield, IL 62704

    http://www.killenenterprises.com/

Big selection, but kind of of pricy.

***EDIT***  Sorry, Disc Replay is already on your list.

    Thanks for the updates!

Electronic Expo is a cool store. They just moved to downtown Roanoke and have some good stuff. They will also work with you on prices.

I have another store to add: -Computer Wiz in MacArthur WV is one of the best looking stores around. Tons of cool stuff. Loads of games. He is high on his prices typically, but he will work with you. It is right off of I77N on Exit 42.

  • Jasper, Indiana

has a store called Trader Bakers Vendor Mall which sells Famicom, Super, N64 and other misc. Video games items.
  • "Zero Gravity Games" in Fayetteville, GA

"Gamers" at two locations: one in Carrollton, GA and another Villa Rica, GA

Super Gator Gamz in Newnan, GA

Gator Games at West Georgia Flea Market in Carrollton, GA

I don't know what it is about Gators and games here around here. They aren't owned by the same people though they may have been at one time.
  • Game Nut in Lawrence kansas.

People who work there are nice but it's not like other retro game stores that you can walk up and ask for a lower price. for the most part the prices are good. Some more known games like smash on gamecube they price higher simply because right when they put it out it sells instantly. Actually got a copy of the zelda windwaker 3 game bonus for 60$. They had no idea the version they had was the one with rare box art.
  • The Last Word in Charlotte, NC has moved!

    The new address is:

Grande Promenade, 5744 N Tryon St, Charlotte, NC 28213

    Cool location!
  • First update of the year!
  • Just for sake of adding stores to the list, there is a newer store in Hickory, NC called The Gamefather Games.

Valley Hills Mall, 1960 Hwy 70 SE #264

    Hickory, North Carolina 28602

    https://m.facebook.com/gamefatherhickory/

I felt prices were high on retro games. At least customer service was great though.
  • Google Maps reports that Open Box Games is permanently closed.
  • Level Up Gaming in New Hampshire moved from Manchester to Goffstown NH.
  • PA/NJ:

    Play N Trade:

    Moorestown Mall, Moorestown NJ

    Jay St. Video Games:

Cherry Hill Mall, Cherry Hill NJ

Plymouth Meeting Mall, Plymouth Meeting PA

King of Prussia Mall, King of Prussia PA

    Video Nutz:

Columbus Farmers Market, Columbus NJ (only open Thurs-Sun, http://www.columbusfarmersmarket.com/)
  • I noticed that the Slackers locations in Missouri were listed, but I don't see any of the Illinois locations listed. It's all the same company, but they have three locations in IL that are within the St. Louis Metro area.

    Alton, IL

    Glen Carbon, IL

O'Fallon, IL (not to be confused with the O'Fallon, MO location - two different stores)

Yes, there are two different towns called O'Fallon within the St. Louis Metro area within a 60 minute drive of each other but in different states. :/
  • I noticed that the OP says "GA Gamers" for Carrollton, GA. Actually, those are two different shops almost right next to each other. One is "Gamers," which you already have listed for Villa Rica and Carrollton (they have two locations). The other is "GA Game Shop." I went to both today.
  • Mega Replay in Peoria IL

Acme Comics Peoria IL has some retro games
  • A-1 Video Game Exchange in Boise, Idaho closed down last week after being open for over 20 years.
  • Add Super Retro Land Parkersburg, WV and Buyback Parkersburg, WV
  • Play 'n' trade, Yonkers, NY is no more
  • 2 stores reported closed in one day? This should be forbidden.
  • We're all updated!

PS - I have to update with the vintage version of the website or else it erases all the formatting. FWIW, I hope the vintage version never goes away!

We lost another Retro game store this evening. So sad to see Regency Games Plus in Waterford, CT has closed it's doors. I haven't stopped by there in about a month and I was shocked to see it was gone. This little store was such a GEM. I got A LOT of cool stuff in there. Complete boxed MINT condition titles. The kid that worked there said I was their biggest NES customer and he would always hook me up with GREAT deals. SUCKS! Sad to see it go.

When I walked away anger built as I looked to the Game Stop right next to Regency filled with customers...They have no idea.....
