There is already a bid for 100
  • If bidding gets high enough.. I will through a boxed Famicom power glove in for free.
  • Any pirates in there or are the all official?
  • No pirates. all official
  • A friend of mine is going to do a nice bid of $225. He doesn't have an account here, so I am just going to mark it down for him.
  • I don't like the idea of you doing the auction and also putting in a bid for someone. Too much potential for shadiness. If they really want it, they can easily register and post themselves.

Yeah, I was thinking of bidding, but not now.
  • This caught my eye because I've been collecting Famicom stuff lately. Bidding "for a friend" is the same as bidding on your own item lol... Just take it down and sell it directly to your friend if he wants it.

I can't take down an auction once it has already started.. I think.. So I just asked if my friend wanted to throw a bid in and he said yes. So I just posted what he said for him.
  • Ah well, I checked the rules & they do say this: "3. All transactions must abide by the NA FAQ. Aside from that, the only rules are those set by the seller, and agreed to by the buyer. If something is unclear, ask the seller. If you don't like a rule, take your money elsewhere. If there's a dispute, you are expected to work it out on your own, in PM, directly with the other party. Moderation will not become involved unless there is an issue of some of fraud or other serious wrongdoing." So do as you must, but at this point your friend will probably win it anyway
  • I think it's clear that this type of bid goes against the rules, since it's impossible to know if the seller is telling the truth or not. No one should be allowed to bid in their own auctions.
  • I was also interested in this stuff, but this is just pointless if you're going to allow/make up a third party to float the lot with a safety bid.
