I know, right? It's pretty solid and hefty. When I saw it I was afraid the girl selling it was gonna quote some crazy price and the minute she said 50 cents I was like, "fuck yeah, 50 cents. Take these two quarters right now."
I'm having flashbacks of the Super Mario Bros. Movie. In fact, I live in LA so let's just say it's the prop from the movie. And also, for extra fun, Miyamoto carved his name into its foot.
Cool. It's made of clay right? There's a few local pottery shops around me where you can buy some clay, sculpt it and have it fired in the kilm. After that you can paint it or glaze it. Makes me want to make some video game characters out of clay.
Yeah, it's clay with a nice thick glaze. The clay has a lot of grittiness to it which can be seen at the bottom of the feet where there is no glaze. There actually is a name at the bottom but I can;t make it out.
