Turbografx glory!!

I have always wanted to find one of these in the wild, and today I scored pretty well, I think. I got a system, still in its box (though the box it trashed), four controllers, one multitap, and 17 games (also in box, but pretty smashed boxes) from a newly opened thrift store,

The good:
30.00 for all!

The Bad:
The RF plug is jacked up. Not sure what I will need to fix it. If you hold it, it works. Not ideal..

I dont usually like to gloat, but I have not actively pursued ANYTHING video game related for over a year or two now. Im pretty happy overall. If I cant fix the console, Im hoping someone here may have a spare deck. Time to order a security bit to open this sucker up!

I have heard KC is a good game, and my wife fondly remembers the Bonk games. Im hoping I can get this console to work properly so I can go after those games!

Try a different RF (NES and Genny-1 works too); or check the RF line to make sure there's no tension on it (or maybe put tension on it to see if it helps). Some of the TGs are just finicky like that.

Well on this one, you can see the middle of the plug wobbling around on the inside. I am hoping I can solder one in from something else. Im just waiting for my security bits to arrive from ebay!

To the TG16 experts... Are the Turboboosters really that hard to find?! This would eliminate my RF out problem!

i'm no expert....but i don't see them that often. they are (i think) $40-60 when sold. i want one as well.
