10 CIB mint NES games + console + ppw

this showed up in my town on craigslist and I got to it first... I'm not saying how much I paid for it until at least 5 people guess what it's worth

Console / accessories:
1 NES console with two controllers, very good condition
1 NES advantage controller, still with foam over buttons
1 zapper

Paperwork (not pictured):
original reciept from 1990 for NES Action Set
control deck manual
zapper manual
NES warranty registration form
NES advantage manual in sleeve with Nintendo Power advert and small "Now you're playing with power!" poster
large "Now you're playing with power!" poster
trifold "plug into the power!" nintendo power advert
yellow "do not use with projection screens" warning

Teh games, all 10/10 CIB games except for marble madness:
Adventure Island II
Mega Man 5
Super Mario 3
Ms. Pac Man Tengen
Dr Mario
Thunder and Lightning
Marble Madness (two small punctures along one side of box, oh noes)
Tetris
Tetris II

all CIB games are not only complete with manuals but also with the original plastic bags and any promotional ads that came with it

these boxes are in pristine condition, not sealed but as close to it as you can get... even the cartridges and sleeves have that glossy, almost greasy look to them, knowwattameen?

I know several of these games pull $30 or more complete, but since these are in pristine condition, does that effect their worth at all? If so, which ones? I'm new to collecting and I was too scared to ask on the Price Check forum because everyone complains about noob price checkers. I did my research, but pricing and CIB condition on ebay is few and far between.

Any advice helps, thanks in advance.

  • dang dude' i need to luck out on a megaman5 even cart only lol

as for pricing, just use ebay and search for the titles. Also click on 'completed listings' so that you get a price range.
(and if u don't get many - try amazon too)

Condition does help but if you can't get it to the person in great shape, its a beach' if the buyer is harsh on ya.
  • You got one of the top 2 mega man games to get. Nice. Say...$30?
  • it's ok my dad is actually a collector in his own niche and I've helped him out enough to know how to ship fragile stuff. And more importantly, who to ship it through

we have one guess at $30, any other guesses? 4 more to reveal
  • Misunderstood the post, my bad. Hmmm....Free?
  • well from this list:

    Adventure Island II

    Mega Man 5

    Super Mario 3

    Ms. Pac Man Tengen

    Dr Mario

    Thunder and Lightning

Marble Madness (two small punctures along one side of box, oh noes)

    Tetris

    Tetris II

    -

    megaman5

    mario3

    adventure island2

    Ms. Pac Man Tengen

    Thunder and Lightning

    are good
  • Really awesome finds... I'm gonna guess $40 bucks (just a shot in the dark)
  • oh ya my guess is 20bucks
  • I'll guess $60.
  • This beat up CIB copy of MM5 sold for around $90

I would guess the lot could get you well over $100. If that Mega Man 5 is really mint it can pull nearly $100 on it's own.
  • I paid $50 for everything problem is, I'm more of an enthusiast than a collector, so now that I'm understanding how much these are worth in their current condition, I guess I'm not playing any of them any time soon

If you are interested in any of these titles, PM me

Good find! And ^lolwut? Most can say what it's worth, but I'm going to be indifferent and guess how much you paid:

    $35
  • lol i'd be interested in the MM5 - if you see a cart only - hook me up! (trying to do a cart only mm collection)

You can still play mint CIBs, just be careful. Open the flaps with a butterknife and just try to open and close the box too much.

  • I'd be interested in some of the cheap CIBS like Super Mario Bros 3 and Marble Madness.

sorry I guess that was vague, I meant to say worth as in how much it went for on craigslist, ie how much I paid for it.

The cib games alone seem to be worth $25+ apiece, but I don't know how exponentially the price increases for how mint the games are... ie is a 9/10 marble madness really that different in price from a 8/10 or 10/10? These are as mint as they get besides the marble madness.

my inbox already has several interested parties, I'm thinking about doing an auction sometime this week either on ebay or NA.
  • Tetris is more of a $15 dollar game. Along with Super Mario Bros 3 to be completely honest. You should auction them off on eBay if you value them that high though. We usually try to get things below eBay prices here.

But if they are truly mint with absolutely no flaw, which is what mint is (zing), you can probably get s couple bucks extra.
  • Very Nice score indeed!
  • Mega Man 5 is probably $100ish Mint. But it's actually a harder sell than most people realize. I had about an 8/10 CIB for sale here at $75 with no bites. Took it to eBay with a $69.99 starting bid and $79.99 BIN with no bites either. Planning to relist it for the same price at the beginning of next month (50 free insertion fees / month), but it doesn't exactly fly off the shelves.
