    Looks nice! Thanks mang.
  • That Bubble Bobble 2 looks awesome, as does that Golden Axe machine. Me and my friends used to play Golden Axe after school, as our local rec center had a cab. I will probably buy a machine if I ever get the chance and I have the space.
  • Man those posters are sick, love that Bad Brains one!
  • Know this is late but you are a bastard for getting that wacky races manual, have only been looking for that one for 234342423423 years

    Nice stuff btw!

    Stay awesome

    Jeremy

  • Very nice scores! BTW, you may want to go to an e-waste center for a 486/Pentium DOS machine to play that SFII game. You may be pleasantly surprised.
  • Very nice! I still have yet to get my mitts on a BB Part 2
  • Picked up two machines for $400 yesterday, Gauntlet and Battlezone. Gauntlet plays well and looks really nice, Battlezone looks nice cosmetically but needs some monitor work unfortunately.

  • Battlezone would be so awesome.
  • Never actually played it before, and the screen on this one only shows the top half. I'm excited to play it after watching a couple YouTube videos though.
  • Is that a Space Invaders machine? Oh man that's one of my favorite arcade titles of all time (Space Invaders).
  • Battlezone is vector graphics epicfuntime pew pew!

Nice machines! I need to get back into arcades again, I miss my Tron, Asteroids cabaret cabs and MVS.
  • I've neve owned a cabaret, but I'd like to for the house^.

I got 36 NES games including Dragon Warrior IV and Metalstorm, a NES system, Genesis System and PS1 system today for $65:

Metalstorm has been one of my favorites since back in the day, and the Dragon Warrior IV was labeled as Dragon Warrior 2 in the ad, so that was a nice surprise.
  • Here is some stuff that I picked up this weekend in Portland while PRGE was going on. I didn't find anything I needed the first day at the expo, so halfway through the day I left to go to "Fry's Electronics". That place rules, it was the first time I had ever been to one, and I ended up getting a new soldering iron, the Hakko FX-888. The last three soldering irons I've bought went tits up super quick, so hopefully this on lasts. So when I was about to leave, I decided to check out Craigslist from my phone, and I found a listing for an Asteroids Deluxe machine, and headed over to check it out. Turns out that the game has been in this guy's family since the early 80s, and it's been sitting in his garage untouched for the last 30 years because the monitor doesn't work. I ended up buying it for $150, which was well worth it considering how good of shape it is cosmetically. The next day at the expo (today), I bought a working Bad Dudes PCB/Marquee/Manual for $25 to go in the Bad Dudes cab I have sitting in my garage, and I bought a copy of The Jetsons from thenickross for $50. I wish I would have found a few more games this weekend, but I'm happy with what I did get.

  • Cool stuff man. I wish I could afford a dedicated arcade cabinet, I love that old artwork. Also, if your username is a reference to Bad Brains, I really dig.
  • ^You know it is!

I found these two machines on the Seattle Craigstlist, it was a six day old listing for a few games in the middle of nowhere, $220 for the both of them and they both work.

Pit Fighter used to be a Track and Field...

Tiger Heli used to be a Circus Charlie...

...hopefully I can get them converted back and looking nice.

I also received a bunch of games today in the mail and these were the best ones out of the lot:

So your the one that got that big lot of stuff on ebay. I bid on this myself but it got a little out of my price range at the end

  • Yeah, normally I wouldn't bid something up so high, but I've been having a REALLY hard time finding anything for a decent price lately, and I was itching for something new.

whats the link to the auction now that you have it all in hand?  Curious I missed this one as I would have bid :-(
  • I'll never tell!

I picked this Toobin cabinet up for $100 about a month back, but the monitor needed completely rebuilt, the control panel needed rebuilt, and the main board was fried since the previous owner had the power supply up full blast. Got it working today though! The waterfall works well, and the monitor looks really nice in person. I was happy to grab this one, I haven't played it since I was in elementary school.

  • Love this game, lost of quarters lost in the river trying to beat this in the arcade!
  • I got everything in this picture besides the cabinets earlier today for $480 + $20 in gas down in Portland. About 30 PCBs, 11 Neo Geo carts, a couple Neo Geo motherboards, 50 brand new mechs, 130 new buttons and microswitches, a pile of bezels and overlays, at least 100 manuals and a few other random things. Not a bad deal, and I guess the dude had just gotten rid of 50 project cabs for only $1,200, I wish I could have grabbed a few of those! I also picked up a decent sized lot of 55 NES games with two systems in town earlier today for $220, it was a good deal too.

  • ^ Awesome man, which Neo Geo games did you get?

Ha, that would be quite the delivery fee! My friend Ian goes to Alaska a few times a year (he's actually up there right now in Anchorage), so maybe he can smuggle a few pieces up there at a time in his carry on luggage, then you can build one.
  • I've been on a buying spree this last week, I finally checked the mail today and this is what I had:

...all of the arcade stuff belongs to Wizard of Wor, I have an empty one that I"m trying to restore. Lots of good stuff today though!
