Found a NES storage case at Goodwill

Found this awesome NES storage case.

But how are the games supposed to fit on the bottom shelf.  They don't fit upright or sideways, They sort of fit upside down but that would be pointless.

  • Nice, but I can't stand when people spell cord "chord", even if it is Nintendo

Maybe it isn't an official Nintendo item if the games don't fit correctly, are you sure it is actually Nintendo brand?

Didn't even notice "chord" lol and no I have not idea if it is official or not.  I was just assuming I was too stupid to figure it out.
  • I have the same one, games seemed to fit fine as long as they were in dust covers.
  • I used to have one of those but I think I sold it when I moved. Neat item.
  • Yeah, it works great if you keep the games in the dust sleeves. I found mine at a Goodwill too.
  • As Andrew pointed out, the games need to be in their dustsleeves to fit correctly. It's an officially licensed item from ALS Industries called the Entertainment System Cabinet. I also use a loose one to store some NES games, great way to keep them free of dust.
  • I have all my favorite games in mine but good luck getting all the cords (or chords) in that top drawer. It was like a puzzle trying to get all that stuff to fit in there.
  • Awesome info, Thanks. Too bad I have like 2 sleeves though
  • Anyone selling one of these cheap? I collect this kind of thing and I'm looking....
  • Cool find man! you must not have told me about that Goodwill when I was there on Thursday, thanks for keeping all the good stuff for yourself haha

lol I had a feeling you would comment.  Sadly this is the only thing related to NES I have found in like a year of looking except for a zapper in 2 pieces lol.
  • haha mine says chords too just checked! got mine from a roommate that got it from goodwill...
  • I got this new with my NES, still have the home movie of it being opened. I bought 4 more in 2000/2001 to store my games when I started collecting, as they were usually $5 each used. Kinda useless without the dust sleeves though. One of the nicer made licensed accessories.
  • I scored mine in a trade for a cell phone.

At first I looked down and saw it in the box, and I just figured it was another stupid, cheap plastic case. I planned to sell it... but then I saw how well everything fits in it, and it's sweet. Pics of mine in the thread about the NES TV sets.
  • I have one of these also. I think I may have also gotten mine from a Goodwill. Maybe now that I am getting a few more NES games I ought to start storing them in this instead of one of my regular storage drawers.

  • I got one of these in a lot last year. It is pretty nice, and pretty heavy as well. Mine just sits and collects dust though
  • oh cool!!

    great find!
  • I have one of these that I picked up from a friend too, and I saw one at Goodwill the other day lol, it was pretty beat to hell tho and it was already marked SOLD behind the counter. Every one must dump them off there or something.
