Can a user database feature be implemented?

I just wondered if it would be possible to make a database tool that is user accessable. Specifically, for side projects where NA users can contribute. My SN thread is great, but it can be a pain to maintain. If I want to update my spreadsheets, I need to save a new copy, upload a new version, then delete the old. Plus, I maintain two versions for accessibility reasons. I'm not proficient with Open Office, and MS Works it kinda obsolete.Just a thought. A user created database could be used for many things, like registries (for owners of certain sets, systems, etc.).
