Ongoing Homebrew/Reproduction Database for NA
Ok gang, I'm sure most of you already know that I'm a big NES and Homebrew/repro collector. Being such, I have decided to help NA out by updating and continuing to work on the NA Database. Don't get me wrong, the database is very nice right now for Homebrew/Reproduction games but it is nowhere where I would like it to be.
Over the next few months, I will be working hard to update the entire Homebrew & Reproduction Database here on NA. The first step will be to do a quick overview of the existing items to make sure the information is both accurate and complete as well as that proper photos are in. I have a very high def scanner and will be scanning in all of the carts I have.
I also want to make sure that proper descriptions are in. Think of it kind of like NA-wikipedia. We will have not only the description but possible links (for PD or Homebrew releases) to where the items are located.
My goal is to continue to update the database and then post about the progress in this thread. What I ask of all of you is if you could help me with making sure that the information is both correct as well as complete for the items I work on as well as to add anything that isn't showing.
Feel free to PM me with any direct issues that need a resolution in the Homebrew or Reproduction database and if there is something you think may be added but want others to respond to, post it here.
With that said, thank you all in advance and lets make the NA Homebrew & Reproduction database the most comprehensive on the internet!
Also, I am not working on any of the other databases for NA so please don't ask me or bring it up. If you have an issue with anything OTHER than homebrew or reproduction, please take it up with one of the mods and they can assist you.
Currently I'm trying to add a bunch of repro titles to the database so that I can have a full list first. Then I will start inputing more information and doing scans. I will try to keep a list of the games that I'm working on, which ones I need help with and the help I need, and which ones I am currently working on.
PLEASE do not message me about games I'm currently working on. If you can help with games on the "Help Needed" list or if there is an error or correction needed on one of the completed games please message me.

Airball GOLD - I need scans of the cart and I need info on the other material it came with. Please message me if you have this cart and are able to help NA out.
WORKING ON
EVERYTHING ELSE!!! I was trying to add a whole list but it is WAY too long so for right now, just assume I'm working on adding titles. Please let me know if there is anything that needs work for the COMPLETED or HELP NEEDED section, otherwise I'm slowly adding a ton of titles. I also want to remind everyone that I do have to work most of the time and I input titles during my free time so I'm not sure how long this will take me. Thanks in advance for your patience.

Please let me know if there is any data MISSING from what I have in the database that you think should be added. Please PM ME if you think a change may be necessary. Also, I appreciate everyone's desire to want to provide me with scans of other repro/homebrews but right now I am working on getting games added to the database. I also want everyone to remember that I have over 200 homebrew/repros for NES and over 60 homebrew/repros for the SNES and that I have yet to get messages about a scan for a game that I don't already have. The only games I'm missing are VERY RARE variants of certain games. If you happen to have one of those, like the black MGC Competition cart, then please contact me. Otherwise, I will take requests for this later after I have been able to input all the games I can think of into the database which should take me a LOOOOONG time.
Hey your collection of Homebrew/Repro's is gone from your collections. I'd definitely like to see this list.
I deleted it since it isn't with the official database and it has grown a lot since then. I'm putting in all the items in the office NA database and then I'm going to keep an ongoing list for myself using the NA database. I hope that helps.
I've got a bunch of LEs. let me know if you need scans. I'll procrastanate long enough for you to find someone else.
LOL, you guys are awesome!
My goal is to first get all of the games listed in the database. I will then go through and make scans of all the games I have currently. Then I will be asking for help from the community to either provide me with better scans of an existing item or just scans in general for missing items.
Right off the bat, I know that we are missing the limited edition airball scans from retrozone. I don't know who owns copies of it but I personally don't have a copy of that one. I need info on whether or not it was CIB and I need scans of everything for it. If someone is willing to either sell me their copy or make scans for me, that would be amazing!
But let me know, I'll give you the list of what I have.
I have all of them including that one. Shouldn't be too hard to help you out with this.
Thanks Eric. I know I will be relying on guys like you for the really hard to find repros that even I don't have.
Bio Force Ape Compo is a homebrew, not a repro. Wrote from scratch.
Really? Ok, I will get it switched over to homebrew asap! Do you have any links or anything to back this up?

yeah, he's correct. within just a few months of the compo cart being made TheRedEye found the real deal. maybe this is where the confusion comes from?
im pretty sure member "dave2236" is the guy who made them (the comp cart) here's a link to his website, he states:
"Bio Force Ape is a completely new game being written and designed for
the Nintendo Entertainment System (the old toaster looking thing you
played video games on back in the '80s). This is not a "rom hack", this
isn't an unreleased game that's being edited, this is an entirely new
game being written and designed from scratch."

EDIT* sorry, dave was selling them on behalf of "ProgrammingAce", who wrote it.
I hope you guys enjoy! We are currently showing well over 100 NES reproductions in the database!
Are you interested in including EVERY repro?
Are you gonna add TimeWalk's stuff, Mute City DMGs stuff, Mute City Electronics stuff...

Sorry for the late response, just got back from Oregon.
YES, I WILL be adding all of the TimeWalk, Mute City DMG, and Mute City Electronics stuff to the database. This is going to take some time but essentially ANY variant out there we will have in the database. I'm sure there will be new labels and items that pop up but we will do our best to get ALL of them in the database. Once I have a final list done, I will be opening the floodgates to people informing me of variants that are NOT in the database as well as titles not listed in the database.
I've tried contacting Mute City DMG but they never responded to me so if anyone knows the person who runs that site and make the repros, I would LOVE some help in getting in contact with him so we can get some of the info. I would also be open to doing an interview for the e-zine if he so inclines.
Check out the repros in the database. There are also several new Homebrew games added as well.
