Pretty sweet poorly titled N64 ebay auction

  • Nice! So I'm totally green to N64 collecting, what's the bfd about not for resale games and how much do they go for?
  • Funny enough, the "DNI" graffiti on it actually kind of adds to the piece. Like test carts with notes from the service center all over them. Part of how they were used, it's kind of like a signed item - signed by the lackey employee image I never mind this if it's legit. Obv. doesn't add to the value but I don't think it diminishes it, I wouldn't try to remove it!

I guess people collect them, because they were produced in low quantities. Also, N64 NFR carts go for wildly different amounts...anywhere from $15-$200, but the average is probably $40ish. The gray DK NFR cart is kinda rare, because there's also a yellow NFR cart which (i think) is more common. The yellow usually goes for $25 and the gray goes for around $75.
  • The yellow one does not say Not For Resale on the front. The label is exactly the same as the released version, there's just a sticker on the back that indicates it was used in the kiosk.

The gray version is actually relatively easy to find (compared to the other kiosks). I'd still say it's worth $50-75 though. It's also worth more because it's just a 3 level demo as opposed to the full game. Most kiosk carts are the full game.

I love this hobby so much.

Duck Hunt Yellow = megabucks, Duck Hunt Grey = worthless
DK64 Yellow = dirt common, DK64 Grey = chase rare
  • Hey at least we're not coinees spending a million dollars on a nickel!
  • The zelda demo's pull crazy money, all of them over $200 on ebay. I have a gold zelda ocarina somebody offered me $500 for recently- I turned it down. If I sold it, then I wouldn't have all four image
