I caught Mick Foley's comedy show Saturday night. It was pretty good if you're a wrestling fan as a lot of his jokes are wrestling-oriented. He's pretty hobbled at this point in his life and his memory is unfortunate but he is still an excellent story teller and just a great person all-around. My girl even got to chat him up a bit and take a photo together. Check it out if you get a chance.
I did. The Wyatts / Shield match was entertaining. The main event was actually pretty good except I don't care about a Batista / Orton main event. Cesaro german suplexing Cena while he had Bryan set for the AA was beyond awesome though.
I am really surprised they are stubbornly going with Orton vs Batista despite Batista being booed out of the building at every event he has shown his face. The fans obliviously don't have any interest in either of those guys being shoved down their throats.
I was really hoping Lesnar would added himself to that match and they would have run with Undertaker vs Sting. Why try matches we haven't seen already though right?
I also can't believe they're going with the match no one wants to see, Orton / Batista. Talk about a bore fest. Rumor was Bryan might of been added to the title match for a Triple Threat match but instead he's thrown in with HHH since it was CM Punk that was suppose to face HHH before he walked out on WWE.
Batista signed a 2 year contract with certain 'to be determined' breaks to market or film movies. What's different is he's considered more of a full time wrestler as he's booked to do some house shows as well. I like the 'BOO-tisa' chants.
What would be cool is for Daniel Bryan vs Triple H match had a stipulation that if Bryan wins he gets put in the main event for the WWE Heavyweight Championship later that night. Imagine if he won that? That would be legendary!
Ugh anyone else think the Hogan thing was brutal BROTHER? He said brother more times combined than the rest of all the words he said. Seems like he must have begged Vince for a paycheck and Vince said ok I can make money here by making Hulk be a continuous commercial for wwe network.
I think the whole idea of Batista vs. Randy Orton for the title at Wrestlemania is ridiculous. WWE is more than dropping the ball with Daniel Bryan, and need to give him a legitimate title win on the grandest stage of them all.

If they had that stipulation that would make all the bs worthwhile! It would be kind of like in the attitude era if stone cold never got over on Vince. Crosses fingers.
Outside of the expected launch day issues of WWE Network, I'm happy with the purchase and we haven't even gotten the monthly PPV yet. Bring on Wrestlemania 30!
I watched Wrestlemania 17 earlier today, such a good PPV! Nothing better than watching Austin beat Rock down with a chair out of frustration, and the TLC 2 match, where Matt Hardy and Bubba Ray go through the 4 tables from the 15ft ladder.
With my roommate having Hulu, I've been watching RAW lately. I don't know, it's hard to really pull for much of any of the dudes they're trotting out, though it was nice to see Christian, shame they let random pale muscle dude whip him.

While I don't like it, pushing Batista to the moon has to be about them looking at the big picture and huge cross-exposure potential with Disney/Marvel advertising Guardians of the Galaxy this summer.
Also, remember the last time Wrestlemania had a host? Host Rock screwed Cena. Wouldn't be the least bit surprised if after the main event Hogan came out to give the fans what they want somehow, possibly even a quick match putting Daniel Bryan over as champ. (similar to Hogan/Yokozuna back in the day)
I think the Lesnar Taker match is great for business, it's been years in the making, and should have happened this year.
I don't think that Orton VS Batista is such a bad main event. If Batista wins the crowd will really get pissed and that would put Batista over as a heel really well. And everyone wants to see Bryan get his chance at the belt, so why not put him up against Batista at the next ppv. That's the out come I would like to see anyways.
I though Lesnar wanted to go after the title, what happened to that?

Blah, you mean years ago already made. They have had 3 PPV matches against each other already.
Unforgiven 2002
No Mercy 2002
No Mercy 2003
Now with the WWE Network you can go and watch any one of them! Just another rematch.

The old damn the hardcore fan who tunes in every week in the hopes of getting the "casual" fan to tune it. You are probably right. Reminds me alot of Nintendo.
"HHH vs bryan, if Bryan wins he's in the main event, 3 way. If not, then he will never get a title shot against Orton" thoughts?
YES! YES! YES!
Seriously, that is an awesome idea. It fits the "Authority stacks the deck against Bryan" angle perfectly, and HHH-DB is a perfect way to kick off Wrestlemania 30. Then Bryan can end the night (predictably) winning the title for his penultimate Wrestlemania moment. The PPV can close with the fans chanting YES raising their arms in unison. It's the perfect ending to WM30, and WWE would be foolish to not do it.
As for the Undertaker-Brock Lesnar thing, that was 10+ years ago. These guys are now in different places in their career, with different storylines. And it's Wrestlemania. So while it's not their first encounter, who cares?
BTW is the WWE Network crapping out for the rest of y'all? I watched Old School Raw and Taker-Punk last night, and for both, after about 5 minutes, my connection ended, and I had to reload. Damn I know there would be issues early on, but that was annoying.
I would be pissed if my WM30 stream goes in and out. Seriously would ruin my viewing experience.

It's still not overkill like Cena-Orton was.
Well that's the point, I'm bored of rematch PPV's. Especially since Undertaker only wrestles once a year now. They had a perfect oppertunity to run a match that has literaly never been seen before in Undertaker vs Sting and that has actually been talked about for years, instead they went with a match that has been done at multiple PPV's already.
From all reports Sting was finally ready to do this match, so it's not that Undertaker vs Lesnar is a bad choice, I just think the other option was way better and more interesting.

There has been nothing but problems with sign ups, live feeds, and even the completely non functioning on demand service. MLB networks provides the WWE network service and has apologized for these issues. They were quoted saying something along the lines of that they have never seen this much web traffic in 14 years of providing streaming content and were completely unprepared for the onslaught of uers.

That's because they're used to streaming baseball...who the hell watches baseball anyway?
Maybe this is a lesson to the MLB and their asinine blackout restrictions. Open up your library and this could be the demand for MLB.tv as well. Signed up for wwe network and I'm enjoying it quite a bit.

Orton vs Batista - Meh
Lesnar vs Taker - Decent
Cena vs Bray Wyatt - Ok
Triple H vs DB - Decent
Nothing that truly stands out to me.
