Wow, to the guy who predicted HHH wins, you the man. Never saw that coming. Still pissed at how Lesnar got taken out, what a waste!
The dirt sheets have been calling to Triple H to win for at least the past week. I tried to ignore them and go with it, but here we are. On wrestling sites and forums, it's been a pretty popular spoiler.
I don't mind it, except that given HHH is not a full time guy(or a special attraction like Lesnar), we know he's not going to hold the belt. The question is who he gets to drop it to(Reigns, most likely). That's mean Reigns has had the belt 3 times in less than 6 months. Hot potato, anyone?
I just think it's hilarious that people like Sunny, Mike Tyson, etc are all in the HOF(as well as other ex-convicts), and Chyna stands no chance due to her relationship with HHH. Well, hilarious isn't the right word, but you get the gist.
Chyna sort of shot herself in the foot pushing so hard to get herself inducted in, though. I think had she just left things alone, they might've come back around to her. Going on radio shows and podcasts, talking about how supposedly abusive HHH was in not exactly the kind of publicity one should be spreading if they want inducted in said person's Hall of Fame, lol.
Chyna make porn before she make the HOF so it s not the same and tyson is a celibrity HOF not perfomer
What does Tyson being a celebrity have to do with anything? Dude is a convicted ex-felon, and was welcomed into the HOF with open arms. Yet officially, Chyna is worrisome. Sheesh.
Way too many shenanigans in the rumble for my taste.
Some of the stuff they do and allow just strains credibility too much. Sure, you are supposed to suspend disbelief, but there were way too many moments where if it were real the guys wouldn't be that dumb.
First off, the stuff with the Miz not entering was BS. There use to be a specific rule where if you didn't enter the ring before the next person comes out you are eliminated. Guess that conveniently changed. If you don't actually have to enter at your number why would anyone get in the ring?
Number #2, I HATE HATE HATE when guys just leave for a huge portion of the match and can just come back later. This has been used in many rumbles, but I can't stand it. Again, why would anyone stay in the ring? There should be a countout.
Number #3 Outside interference. The announcers were going overboard explaining the "no DQ" aspect, so you could tell they were setting up for all sorts of interference. Eliminations by people not in the rumble shouldn't count. Why would any stable leave after they are eliminated? They can just get right back in and keep eliminating guys.
Number #4 Okay we are going to allow outside interference. So 4 guys show up to beat up Roman Reigns, but these idiots pull him outside underneath the top rope. WHY??? They beat him up only to leave him outside. again WHY??? Are we supposed to believe that Vince McMahon who is orchestrating this and wants Reigns eliminated doesn't understand the rules of the match?? When Reigns is laid out why wouldn't they throw him back into the ring? Dumb.
I love the concept of the Royal Rumble, it's my favorite PPV. I just wish they would actually execute how it was supposed to. You know, what number you draw matters, you actually have to stay in the ring, once you are eliminated you are done. Crazy I know...
To an extent, I have to agree. We were calling spots all night. Did anyone else happen to notice the audio crew/Network made a little slip up in terms of sound? If you listened closely, you could hear the next entrant's music begin playing very faintly about 10 seconds before they came out. I called like 6 guys in a row, and the entire room was like "WTF?!". Apparently nobody else heard it.
I absolutely agree on having to enter the ring before the next guy enters, and having a time limit if you do go out under the bottom rope. Remember when they had the battle royal for the IC title like a year and a half ago, and Miz just hid under the ring for the entire thing and then threw the last guy out and won it? Yeah, that's beyond bullshit.
^ Agreed. The "rules" to special matches like that have been played really loose and sloppy the past year or so. I know it's to stir controversy, but really, all it does is break immersion. I remember John Cena and Bray Wyatt having a cage match a while back, and the rest of the Wyatts were outside forcing Cena back in every time he tried to get out. It made the match just feel worthless. The past few Rumbles have just been a real strain, breaking rules blatantly for the sake of a spot. It just makes the rules feel arbitrary.
On #4 though, it made sense to me why they pulled Reigns under the ring ropes. They wanted to pummel him and wear him out, hoping he'd just get tossed on his own. But, seeing the Wyatts just casually stroll back into the ring after being elimnated(twice!) makes me wonder why the League of Nations didn't just do the same thing.
I just think it's hilarious that people like Sunny, Mike Tyson, etc are all in the HOF(as well as other ex-convicts), and Chyna stands no chance due to her relationship with HHH. Well, hilarious isn't the right word, but you get the gist.

number 2 that suck but is alway someone make that on the rumble
number 3 only heel make that and that was to setup wrestlemania match
number 4 Reigns cant wrestle long match it why he got this beatdown
but i agree i would love a rumble without all of this but that never gonna happen

You could tell just by the way Cole kept saying "Guys, remember: Roman Reigns is NOT eliminated!", and "He only has so much time left to save his championship...".
Shit played out like a sitcom last night. I thought for sure we'd see The Rock at some point, though.

When Cole was saying that I thought for sure Reigns was going to return on RAW and say he was still champ since he was never elimated. I'm glad they didn't go with that angle.
Yeah raw was pretty entertaining. The rock killed it, total vintage hilarious rock. Also gold dust had a tick in his promo, haven't seen him do that in forever

Overall I agree with BA but I still found it entertaining. I did like that there were a ton of fueds set up during the match. I'm hoping for AJ versus Owens at Mania!
Lesnar is going to own both Ambrose and Reigns and right when it looks like he's going to win gets beaten down and carried away by the Wyatts (Sets up Lesnar elimination handicap match vs The Wyatts). Reigns crawls over and pins Ambrose.

I'm not gonna post the card for Takeover: Dallas because it'll semi-spoil the next month of tapings, but holy shit, it looks like Takeover is going to blow Wrestlemania out of the f'n water!

Just saw that on WWE.com myself. Pretty awesome. It's clear that he's going to be in NXT in order to promote the Network in Japan... Pretty logical, really.
A little surprising that Nakamura wouldn't work Wrestlemania, though... I guess it could happen, but the storyline would most likely be driven from NXT. Would be awesome.
That being said, there are some guys in NXT (*Coughs, Baron Corbin and that other shitty NFL guy*) who can't lace Nakamura, Joe, or Austin Aries' boots and shouldn't even be allowed in the same ring as them so I hope WWE is smart enough to have them all work top programs without the shitty green horns.
It's clear WWE is (has been for 1.5 years) filling out their roster with top professional wrestling talent. Hopefully these shitty ex NFL guys will take a back seat, as they should.
My favorite wrestler of all time, Bret "The Hitman" Hart posted this on his social media today...
"brethitmanhart: It is with great remorse that I feel compelled to speak truthfully to my friends, family and my millions of fans around the world. In the past few years, I've spent more than enough time paying the price for all those years trying to be the best there ever was as a professional wrestler. I executed excellently and my proudest claim was that I never seriously hurt or injured another wrestler in my 23 year career. I've paid a price for all that "fake" wrestling ... Mark Helprin wrote: "We are all perfect clocks that Divinity has set to ticking when, even before birth, the heart explodes into a lifelong dance." I've had a great lifelong dance and I'm a survivor of many hard battles. I now face my toughest battle. With hesitation and fear, I openly declare myself in my fight against prostate cancer. In the next few days, I will undergo surgery with the hope of defeating this nemesis once and for all.
My fans have always looked upon me as a hero and I've always done my best to live up to that in and out of the ring. I beat the odds when I suffered my stroke in 2002, but it is now yet again, that I ... stand unafraid and face the tough road ahead of me, I will march toward this destiny with his spirit chanting in my ear.
I make a solemn vow to all of those that once believed in me, the dead and the living, that I will wage my fearsome fight against cancer with one shield and one sword carrying my determination and my fury for life, emboldened by all the love that's kept me going this long already. Love is my weapon and I've got much of it around me all the time, for which I'm truly blessed and eternally grateful. My children, grandchildren, and my loving wife Steph have been and will constantly be at my side. I refuse to lose, I will never give in or give up, and I will win this battle or die trying.
Most important of all, I hope can take the fight to prostate cancer. To be a leader in awareness and to set the example for men everywhere who find themselves in my very same shoes, that prostate cancer can be beaten.
Man I usually never watch Smackdown but needed something to watch while working out last night. Sad how far Russev has fallen, former can't be beaten to now a scrub. Roman pinned him last night on what had to be the worst spear I've ever seen in my life.
Going to a house show here in Calgary tonight. Should be interesting, in the past they always had them at The Saddledome (our big arena where our bad hockey team plays) but the last show I went to sold very poorly (OH but I did have front row seats, its was super unreal) and they're playing at a way smaller venue this time around. I hope they do a Bret tribute.

So triple threat at Fast Lane for no. 1 contender...?
Is it terrible that I'm more excited for that match, than whatever WM match comes from it?
I still can't believe I'm seeing AJ Styles in WWE and on RAW!!!
