Yeah, $15-ish sounds right. For what it's worth (no pun intended), I recently sold a nice copy that didn't have the poster or warranty card (it was cart, box, manual, Tengen sleeve, and styro) for $45 shipped.
Yeah, it used to be worth a lot... I can remember 6 or so years ago, it seemed that loose carts were hitting $50-$70 regularly. But it was figured out that it really wasn't that rare, and its value dropped drastically (though that value trend seems to be reversing itself a tiny bit lately). About a year and a half ago (or was it 2 1/2 years ago?), I picked one up at the local Rhino for $16.99 + tax. Definitely worth it, either for its collectible value or for its play value .
lol when I first started collecting I caught wind of some buzz on a rare variant of Tetris but wasn't on eBay yet so everything I knew about NES games was text-only (between forums and Etler's list). I wound up getting a Tengen one in-hand for $10, then returning it the next day to a very surprised clerk. Turns out I'd gotten the rarity for Pac-Man mixed up with Tetris (obv. unlicensed Tengen Pac-Man is more common than either licensed version). I don't know why I didn't ask and just returned it, I was poor that week I guess and had convinced myself that I screwed up in my greenishness.
