For Sale: Kay Bee World of Nintendo sign
The guy I got this from said he was a manager at a Kay Bee toys in Northern New Jersey in the early 1990s which is where he got this. When these signs were ordered to be thrown out, the guy went around to every Kay Bee toys store in the area, but said that he was unsuccessful with every try, because most of them actually threw it out. I also vaguely remember him saying that these cost in the $300-400 range for the store to purchase. My memories of what the guy said are somewhat vague so don't take these for factual information, but that's what I remember. That's as much information as I can give you about this.
There are only 2 instances of this sign known of. The first one is owned by Parpunk, the second one is owned by myself. It is actually one of the coolest signs I have seen and is powered by fiber-optic lights. The lights change color and there is a motor inside it that changes the light colors. The sign is fucking huge!! It is 6 feet tall and VERY heavy. It may not look as big in the picture, but it is taller than I am.
Once again, I don't want to sell this, but I have to. I would prefer to deal with somebody locally, but if you really want this and don't live near me, I can work with you to have it shipped.
I have a price in mind that I want to let it go for. Please PM me with offers or interest.
EDIT: Whoops! Sorry, I forgot to say about where I live. I live in southern New Jersey, about 15 minutes outside of Philadelphia, PA.

Note: This is Parpunk's picture in his game room. I don't have a picture of mine, though it is exactly the same sign.

@NationalGameDepot: I'm hoping in the $300-400 range.

Nick yes I would love to have this but I'm afriad the shipping would be like $150 or some crazy thing to get it here... but if you can check and it's not horrendous maybe we can work a deal!
Um...shipping's going to be high, it seems like... I just checked the cost of UPS Ground, and just based off the size of the package, for it to go from him to you would be $173 (assuming the finished package size was 73 x 25 x 15)... FedEx wants $154 for ground shipment (but it's a day slower than UPS). DHL wants $133 for ground shipment (2 days slower than UPS)... Unfortunately, the USPS doesn't ship packages that large
Edit: Yes, I evidently have nothing better to do than to check random shipping rates on random items to random zip codes... It confirms what I have said earlier (three times yesterday, in fact): I fail at life
