I'm confused... what actually happened with the item in question? It appears pulled because it is "no longer available"? Did you try and get him to pull the auction, or did he just make the mistake himself?

looks like he canceled the auction but didn't cancel the bids if it was a 7 day auction starting on the 21st but ended on the 23rd

Yeah that's what I'm thinking too. So it looks like an honest newbie mistake but he's being blasted like he's the scum of the Earth. I think the real answer is somewhere in the middle.
Ebay lets you pull an auction with the prefilled reason of "no longer available for sale". Then there's a checkbox which lets you cancel it entirely, or cancel it and sell to the current high bidder. Looks like he accidentally did that, then lied about it to try and cover his ass.
So it was not a legit auction win that was not honored, just a starting bid that was not honored when the auction was ended prematurely.
As a collector I understand the frustration, but I would have gave him a neutral and moved on. Seems like an honest mistake to me.
No, the auction went all the way to completion. It ended yesterday with me winning. I paid for the item and then he tried to cancel the transaction after I paid.

The auction did not start on the 21st, that's just the last time he edited the auction before it ended. It ran to completion, and I won and paid.

No, the auction ran to completion and I definitely won. I paid for it and everything before he decided to cancel the deal. If the auction hadn't of run to completion I wouldn't have been able to leave feedback at all. You can only leave feedback after you win an item and pay for it.
It's cuz you're still signed in and it still thinks you won that item. Sign out then look at the link.
I don't get why it shows up that way when I'm not signed in (saying the item is no longer available). I bid on the auction late Saturday night, and when I bid it showed as ending in like 10 hours or so. I started watching the auction again Sunday from when it had 30 minutes left all the way until it counted down to 0 seconds left and completed. Then I got the message that I won the auction and then I paid. The seller told me he called eBay after the auction ended and fed them the dog chewed it up story so I wonder if they did something to the listing.

Dude is a total prick. After I called him out on his lie he said "aight, you got me I lied", and then he tells me "don't to be a jack ass about it".
i hope he gets hit by a bus. not life ending mind you, just lose a leg or something

I dunno, it's just showing as "No longer available" for some reason? It appears that all of his auctions were pulled...

About this guy being a newb, that's understandable... but it's his lying is the reason why we're calling him a ass-clown. Honesty goes a long way.
