Problem - Gamecube

I got a gamecube which always it is switched on, the light in front of the console start flashing repeatedly, as the image on tv too. Do a strange sound too, and the disc reader dont spin.

Some people said that can be the power supply cord,  but if someone already got had the exactly problem and can inform me, i thank you in advance.

    Looks to me like the power switch is broken, probably a cold joint making a bad connection. You should try to open the GameCube up, until you can reach the PSU daughterboard. Then, manually touch the power switch joints together and see if the GameCube stays on completely.



    Don't worry, the GC is very easy and straightforward inside.
