Where to get my 72 to 60 pin adapter

Hi!

I'd like to buy a 72-to-60-pin adapter to play NES-Games on my famicom.

One, just like this:

But I am afraid this particular company will not ship to europe.

Do you know where to get them in Europe at a reasonable price?

Curious,

    Hey ninn,
If you still need one PM me. I have a few left.

They are a bit different from the one on that eBay auction.
They don't have the outer plastic shell, but on the plus side they ARE compatible with portable Famicom systems such as the GameAxe and Game Theory Admiral, while the encased types are not.

    Here's a pic:

PS: Your avatar is equal parts cute and scary.

    EDIT::
Oh and yes I will ship to Australia and match the eBay price. Shipping should probably be between $7 and $10 for Global USPS.
  • They pop up from time to time on ebay. You just need some patience. I think there's one guy on ebay.it that sells these every once in a while.

Oh, an spoonman, he's from Austria, not Australia ;p

Oops!.. Good thing I didn't pull a Lloyd Christmas and tell him  to "Put another shrimp on the barbie!"

@ninn: USPS Global shipping would be roughly the same.
Just let me know if you need it.
  • Yeah I honestly wouldn't fondle any other adapters that are iffy and aren't known to work, as they're probably yobo shitty ones. And Spoon, what's that TFT LCD?

It's the Game Theory Admiral portable.

Back in those days there wasn't a lot of options for playing NES games on the go.

There was also the Game Axe Color in '95
(which is when I bought those NES to Famicom adapters btw) I used to resell them and include the adapters with each sale.

  • Thanks a lot for your suggestions, but let me answer individually:

Thanks for your tip, but this is not the one I am looking for. The main difference is, that you will have to put the game in in reverse - the front of the NES-Cart will face backwards when used with this adapter. This is fugly and just plain wrong

(besides: I've heart that those 'cheap' adapters got problems with stuff like MCC5 carts or the powerpak ... so, they disqualify)

Thanks for your nice offer, but I am really looking for a encased type, since I want to use it a long time and I dont want to fiddle around when removing the cart from the system. Normally, I'd love to use these kind of adapters and style, but this is for my future working machine and so it should be sturdy.

Thanks - I will check ebay every day from now on - hoping to find the one I am looking for. Last time I looked there where just cheap yobos on ebay.

You said it. Since I want a really good, sturdy and working one, that does not need a lot of hacks to get it working with most of the carts, I would rather invest now in the best one, than buying a 'shitty' one (no insultion intended) one just to find out, that the 'best' would have been a lot better ^^

... so, I asked 'videogameall" if they would ship to europe, still waiting for an answer.
... meanwhile, I will have a daily look on ebay.

Thanks for your suggestions, guys! I really appreatiate it!

'Game Theory Admiral' ... thats a neat name - loving it! It is so engrish! Nice price!

    Kind regards,
    ninn
