Shipping to Canada first class through PayPal shipping?

Is there a way to ship to Canada first class direct through PayPal (for NA transactions)?

Is my only option eBay shipping or going to the P.O.?

Comments

  • Can you even use ebay shipping for first class international? I didn't think you could.
  • Yeah man I do it every day. It's definitely in the list of options.
  • I never knew you could print First Class International postage online either. Then again, I've never sold internationally on eBay so that probably explains it. But through paypal only, I don't think it's possible.
  • It's so worth it to ship to Canada. Takes all of an extra 30 seconds.

    The downfalls?

No tracking. But, I've sent maybe 100-110 items up there over the past 4-6 weeks, no issues yet. Cross my fingers!

    Can't use PayPal Multi-Order shipping.

Have to print on 8.5 x 11 standard paper & stuff it in a customs envelope.

    The plus?

    BIG increase in sales

    Higher margin potential

    I like the trade-off
  • Nice! Wonder when they added that?
  • I run into a problem shipping internationally on ebay. When I try to print the print preview comes out all jacked. It works a bit better when I try to use google chrome, but it still prints like 90% of actual size. The bar code won't scan because of this. It prints labels just fine when I ship locally. It's weird. I'm running a mac by the way (please don't turn this thread into a pc vs. mac crap fest).

Edit to add: If I sell something to someone here internationally I'll go on ebay sometimes and go to an old sale and click "print another label" .  It still let's me change the address and ship internationally.  This is the only other way I know how to ship first class international online. Although, that person might be getting a "your item has shipped" notification and thinking "what the f. . .?"
  • The last time I checked (if I'm remembering correctly), I wasn't able to print first class international through the Paypal shipping labels through eBay, but was able to through the Paypal multi order shipping. I ended up going with a Stamps account though, I think it's $15 each month and you can print a first class international label in ~30 seconds. Offering services to international countries definitely boosts sales though, like if we sold 10k of tshirts in a month, about 6k of them would be international orders. Definitely something to think about for those of you who only ship to the states.

    Thank you!

I don't know why people hate us that badly.

I have the occasional hiccup too - I use Firefox on a PC and I close the print window when it pops up and then hit "reprint label" - it's weird but it usually works.

Because we're Americans, and we're mostly pretty lazy and scared to death of not having tracking for Seller Protection.  There are more USA residents that try to scam even with tracking - I'm not worried about my friends from the True North

We don't hate you, we hate the seller protection and the post office line.  But if I can print out labels online, that cuts out the post office line.

I usually offer to Canada on my listings anyway, just haven't sold anything non-priority mail to there from ebay in a while.

that's the total opposite here. as soon as we ship something, whether locally or international. there's a tracking number that comes with the package. you can't even have the option without tracking, that's a big plus. the downfall, more expensive. but i'D rather have a tracing than no tracking honestly, this way i know the package been sent and when it should come home, or vice versa
