  • Well, according to my sig, I'm only around 70, I'm just REstarting out slowly on my genny, but it's sure to grow! Of course, this doesn't count for the countless games I got in my storage either!

    I have been looking

@ final fight cd oh hell no I know of a few people who are going for a complete JP set and there's just so many titles. 1268 titles & 243 demos...again, oh hell no! Plus JP collectors are finding more previously undocumented titles/demos still. 256 & 13 was bad enough!!!

But there have been a couple people fighting me hardcore for some of the JP games; I assumed you were one of them. Oh well, at least that's one less Saturn fanatic I have to worry about.

I thought it was odd that, after I had made my full JP Saturn list from satakore, I found a game not listed on it; only to find the database had since (only a few weeks later) been updated with a few new titles (my new game being one of them). That was a WTF moment.

I'm at 25% and rockin' with most the high priced titles accounted for. Should be no time at all.

Not me...this time I'm actually in a hardcore gaming mode lately and selling more than buying the last couple months.

The Satakore database is still growing as more sources become available. That's why I've been using the term "known" more and more when referring to my own collection. I've helped out with a few things myself.

Rotten JP collectors...they always look at my US collection and say how cute it is

Kidding of course. Thought it sounded funny!

  • Well It's not as pretty as Jim's set but I purchased my last Saturn game today. The shelf is set up and now I just need to wait for them all to arrive in the mail. Funny thing the Saturn is probably my second fav console but it has taken me this long to complete the set and that was me pushing hard to get the last 50 in under two months. PHEW my wallet, wife, and me are sure happy it's finally complete....well except those demos and alt art discs....
  • awesome! so what was the last game you needed?
  • Norse By Norsewest... I really grabbed like 4 games all at once Rayman, Quake, and Magic Carpet
  • Congrats Johnny!
  • I already told you congrats, but now it's public. COngrats focker!
  • Thanks guys. Looking back it looks like 40 games in 40 days..ouch my wallet
  • you can now focus 100% on genesis now!
  • I got my first boxed system in the wild today for $24.99

    /happydance
  • well what is it?
  • My most recent addition to my sega collection is a cib Master of Darkness.
  • I hit 200+ NES carts last night.
  • Congrats NightOwl

  • Not video game related but I now have all 14 of the FMW (Frontier Martial Arts Wrestling) dvds released by Tokyo Pop. One of the dvds, FMW The Judgement verdict by Shawn Michaels is harder to find (at a reasonable price) for some reason and was the last one I needed.

Now before anyone gets too upset at it being non-game related, I've been watching the ones I already had on my PS2

  • getting a broken model 1 sega cd, not smashing with a hammer out of frustration and getting it to work

  • as far as collecting milestones go, i would have to say it was the day i visited a flea market in scranton, pa and picked up a copy of streets of rage 3 for two dollars. that made me feel pretty damned awesome. if we're just talking about getting cool and/or awesome shit it would probably be on my last birthday when my fiancee got me a copy of gunstar heroes CIB. it's my absolute favorite game of all-time and i'd been waiting to pull the trigger on a copy of it for a loooooong time as i am also new to this and a cheap bastard to boot. that's how i knew she was a keeper!
  • The other day I scored Bearcat Doug's BB2. I think that's a huge milestone for me as I've wanted that since before I even came to NA! He gave me a solid deal on it too, very happy with it. I'm almost at the end of my Nintendo hoarding and I'm in the last 20~ carts for Genesis out of my 'Gotta Have It' list.
  • I just past 20% of a CIB Famicom Disk System set.
  • I have over 10 Sega Genesis games. Does this count?
  • I finally broke the 100 game mark although that's not too impressive when it's across 5 consoles.

100 Games are 100 games... unless they're 100 downloads, then they're unicorns and faeries.

  • No downloads for me. I think half the fun of playing retro games is getting to use the actual consoles and carts/cds all over again.
  • i am now over 50% through a sealed sega cd collection.

last game acquired was jaguar xj220

haha i knew you were going to make a comment.

interesting that it isn't in completed auctions, as it was just purchased a few days ago.  the dude actually dropped the price considerably and added a 'make an offer' option.  when i saw that i had to made an offer.  and he surprisingly accepted.  and considering that i've only seen two sealed copies in the past how many years i am VERY happy with the purchase.

the other copy was the one you snagged for $20 dollars?  i am still crying about that wishing that was me.
