  • One was packaged in with the SNES, and one was sold separately in store. Which one is which? I'm not sure. (At least that's what I heard on a CGRundertow video a while back).
  • Right: SNS-MW-USA Launch Version

Left: SNS-MW-USA-1 Later Revision (I got mine 5-6-1992)
  • i heard there are 5 revisions. 3rd is player's choice and 4th is AS+W? i think there is also one with the opened slit on the front.
  • i have USA, USA-1, and USA-2

in your photo, the one on the left is USA-1. the one on the right is USA.

USA-2 is the player's choice million seller edition, and has that logo on the front and a gold stripe on the top instead of a red stripe.

i dont have a copy of All-Stars/World, but i dont think it has an SNS-MW-USA code.

personally if i were just keeping one, id keep the one on the right in your photo.  i have 5 copies of USA-1 but i only have 1 copy of USA and its the only one ive seen between me and my friends.

  • thanks everyone! hadn't noticed the subtle model difference.
  • no other verified versions?
  • There's one that's built into the Super Mario All-stars is a bit different too in terms of gameplay. One thing's changed is Luigi's sprites, which resembles much more of the Super Mario Advance 2 game for Gameboy Advance.
