URL stupidness

So http://www.nintendoage.com/forum doesn't exist.  Apparently you need the final slash to make it work.

http://www.nintendoage.com/forum/

Is this something that you have control over?  I'm lazy and I don't know how many times I've wondered what the hell is wrong with my internet only to find out I forgot the final slash.

  • That's something a little .htaccess file or mod_rewrite can adjust in a matter of seconds with little to no effort at all.
  • If you're that lazy, why are you typing the whole thing out instead of using a bookmark?

  • I don't even use bookmarks anymore...now I use the quick hotlink think under the URL box. One less click of the mouse...
    OR...
you could do what I do on my game computer. NA is set as the home page so "when" I open firefox, it is in NA...
    OR...
Just never navigate away from NA and you won't ever have to worry about finding us again!
  • Yea, all I have to do is type "n" and nintendoage is two button presses away (down, enter)

With google chrome, simply type "n" and done.  No down and enter necessary.  Ultra lazy.
  • I never even noticed this -- should work now.

mod_dir is a bit faster for this I think.

  • My mind is blown that someone is manually typing out the full URL!
  • I view NA from so many different computers, sometimes the computer I'm using has never been here!
