Help again...

Ok just got an international superstar soccer manual i bought on eBay from Canada. Paid 46$ for it since i assumed it was the English one, lo-and-behold its the Spanish copy. Did they even make English copies, and he mentioned nowhere in the ad that it was in Spanish which i think is misleading. You guys think i can say item was not as described and send it back for a refund?

I don't think the Spanish one is even worth 20$ so i know i over-payed.

Need a little NA input on this

  • Usually one assumes any given item is in English unless dictated otherwise. Have you spoken to the seller and explained the situation first?
  • was just about too, he gives 7 days refund....I WONDER WHY lol.
  • just told him i want a full refund and asked y he didnt state it was spanish, ive had a bummy week with ebay
  • Maybe it's karma for being a douche in your other thread?
  • You should always go to the seller first and explain the situation, after all they are the ones that sold you the item. There's only so much we can do when you have options open. Send him back the item, get a refund or if he blows you off completely, go through eBay.

You flew off the handle in your other thread, without consulting the guy first. He was nice enough to give you free games plus a refund. Not everyone on eBay is malicious, mistakes happen to even the best sellers.
  • possibly, but i'm giving the other guy positive after the refund goes through. i always try to have good karma, just never had what happened in the other thread happen before and i was like WAHH?? :S
  • The buyer is entitled to receive what they wanted, but you should probably be a bit more cautious in the future. You are most certainly liable for return shipping no matter what. Less mistakes up front save you money from returning things.

The box he sold was clearly the Spanish version (look at back).

So you should have noticed and asked the question. Just an FYI for next time.
  • Im so confused about this game, it seems that this game is super-rare in NTSC version, but PAL is common?

I myself have a CIB PAL, but... so weird that its rare in NTSC, is there a reason behind this?

Soccer is not as popular in the US, I think that's the main reason, also it was released relatively late (summer 1995).

In the other hand this title is relatively common in Mexico

Ya i noticed that yesturday when i actually looked at the box, wasn't too interested in his since i got the NTSC one already, but i noticed the game was the USA release off the bat right away. Oh well, he agreed to a refund, he didn't know there was an NTSC version.
