They must have sent them 2 day shipping because I'll have them tomorrow... I'll see if I'm pissed off or not when I see the grades. I'll post the pics from my office.
Still going to send them more shit once I get these back.
The price chart is too complicated. How much for just a damn N64 game to be graded unopened in box =P
Depends on your turn around requirement:
It's a standard game size.
Slowest $25
Quickest $70
with options in between
Quickest? Either way is SLOWEST wheather its for $25.00 or a $70.00 turnaround time. "Well for me anyway",,, not sure about anyone elses turnaround times.
I'm pretty happy with the "Expedited" middle of the road approach... somewhere around $35-$40 a game? Yeah there's a few business day lag between when my package is received and when I'm invoiced, but the return shipping date is almost exactly 3 weeks later. I can live with that turnaround and cost.

Agreed, I did hear back from them and got my invoice. For any Prototypes the standard timeframes are not applicable. I was told 60-90 days for Proto titles.
Kim and Chad were excellent after I called to find out what was going on, Kim emailed me and called me twice to make sure I was in the loop and Chad also contacted me twice.
I didn't ask for a grade, I asked for a "NG No Grade". I also sent significant backup information regarding authenticity. They review on a case by case basis.
If something has "sub grades are not available for this item", does that simply mean that the game in question doesn't have a +/- or that the grading as a whole doesn't use them? It's confusing because the item in question was graded only like 1 month ago, long after the period in wich VGA didn't have the subgrades.

"Sub-grades" refer to their action figure/toy grading division. It does not mean the + or - grades given to games. Action figures are given 3 sub-grades, those being the "figure" the "card" and the "blister". They are then issued an overall grade. For example, an action figure with an overall grade of 85 may have the sub-grades F90, C80, B85 (again, F, C, and B stand for Figure, Card and Blister).

This was an original Game Boy game with a 90 grade.
So it would've said the same thing even if the game had a + or -, due to the fact that the grading itself only referes to Action Figures and a whole different type of grading system within that?
Correct but VGA doesn't give games the "-" just the +. I've got 85+, 90+, 95+ games and they all say sub grades are not available for this item in the sub grade section.
I was going to contact this seller because the VGA label on his/her game says "Qualified Grade" and it is not mentioned in the description, but I would like more information on how you think a game with a qualified grade should be listed on eBay. Q85+ but still Brand New, or Like New? I just don't want someone to get mislead by this.
Also, what is the best way to report something like this on eBay? I couldn't really find the right topic in the pull-down menus.
Just an FYI for those thinking about subbing games soon, I got this email today:
"Dear Mark :
(CGA will be closed Nov. 19-23 for inventory and in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday. If a projected completion date falls within that week, it will be moved forward to the next available date. If the new date is unacceptable, customers have the option to move the submission to a slower Tier.)
Thank you for your submission."
Very cool that they gave a heads up the day they got the games, I'm happy to know this early that there may be a delay.
I didn't get an email and my stuff was due yesterday. I did email them and they confirmed what you guys mentioned on the backup. They are on a 7-day business delay at the moment.
One thing you can't complain about with VGA is their customer service. Chad has always been very accomidating and has resolved any issues I have had without any problems. A+ service, just a little slow as of late!

Did VGA stop taking Famicom and SFC games as regular new games? I only seem to see them on eBay lately as Qualified.
VGA seems to be all over the place on that one, far as I can tell.
