Playstation TOOL & TEST Units.
1/16/13
Picked up the following for $200. Both units are PAL versions. The TEST unit appears to be brand new. The units apparently belonged to Left Field Productions. For a brief period, Nintendo had minority ownership of the company. Pretty neat stuff, something I've never seen in person.

Picked up the following bundle for $125. No bootlegs, all originals.

Been a while since I've posted here, but I came across an NES find worthy of these forums! Picked up the following games for $45, with the NES games running $5 a piece. Unfortunately, the UPC's are cut out of the Capcom titles. >_< Does that kill the value of the box?

I traded a copy of Shockman I acquired recently for some more black box goodness. I've still got to pound out one more detail of the trade, but I'm pretty happy with the swap!

Traded off a small bundle of my remaining MtG cards for three NES CIB games, plus a manual and map for Zelda. Really good trade for me, considering I've already cashed in the big hitters for $500. The Zelda map completed my near mint boxed copy. I know Duck Hunt is unspectacular, but the game is in awesome shape. Hang tab is still intact!

Saw an ad on Craigslist for a GBA Micro for $25. Then later in the day, not knowing it was the same guy, I worked out another deal to buy some sealed games for $85. After we agreed on the second deal, I realized it was the same dude. I met him after work, handed him the cash, and went on my merry way. Next thing I know, I have an email and voicemail from him where his threatening me. Really vague, generic threat, didn't mention anything like he felt ripped off or anything. I tried calling him twice, but he wouldn't answer. He emailed me one more time, so I figured enough was enough. Mind you, I now have the guys name, number, and address. Called the cops, told them the story, they came and checked out the emails and phone message, then paid him a visit. He told the cop that I shorted him $25, that I only paid him $40. I honestly think the dude was high or is mentally ill. In any case, at least I got a solid deal out of it, I suppose.
Update:
Found the flashcart inside the box. Mother 3 is loaded on it. Man, I'm pretty bummed that such a legit gamer would be such a jerk. :-/

Stopped by my local thrift store after work. Picked up a few nice things (vintage Pioneer receiver, Mac software, decent pc games), but on the way out, I noticed two boxes with Magic the Gathering stickers on them. I figured I would pick them up, as they were only $10. Now, I kid you not when I say I've never played, never owned, or ever sold MtG cards, so this was a total crap shoot. At $10, it was the perfect avenue to finally get into the game. Well, after examining a portion of the cards, I know I've hit at least a few significant cards. Here's the first image of stuff I know is sought after. Should any more surface, I'll be sure to update:

For those who don't know MtG, search on Ebay for "mtg" with any of the following:
Badlands
Bayou
Plateau
Savannah
Taiga
Tropical Island
Volcanic Island

A good friend of mine came across an insane lot of NES games a few months ago. Tonight, he traded me 9 of the 14 or so titles he came across. I don't even have the gem of the bundle amongst this lot. I traded him around $400 worth of games, but my cost on those items was around $60. Some of the contents I traded him included Lord of the Rings: Battle for Middle Earth 2 PC (paid $3), Nascar Racing: 2003 Season PC (paid $.90), and RE PC (paid $.90). The first picture below shows all of the games. The second pick shows the details, which is more or less the condition of each title. Without further ado, here are the games:

Bought these off a chick on CL tonight. Paid $25 for the two. She had them listed in an NES bundle with 18 total games for $100. The only other boxed game was Track & Field II. Pretty happy with the purchase, especially considering the condition of the boxes.

4/25/11
Paid $100 for the following titles. The two Xbox games are factory sealed:

4/22/11
Paid $100. Unpictured is a PS1 system and a Gameshark. Really happy with the purchase. His image showed Tales of Destiny 2, Xenogears, and Marvel Vs. Capcom. I knew it was worth picking up with those three alone.

Paid $25 at the local swap meet.

What was the gem?!
Worth quite a bit.

Haha, my only interest in MtG is for selling purposes. If you're interested in Batman, I'd trade for another NES game of equal caliber. I'm gunning hard for a few titles, like Tyson, Ninja Gaiden, TMNT III, Kid Icarus, Zelda II, Metroid, etc.
I will take a look at my collection shelf this weekend and get you some titles we can discuss for trading.
I have it CIB but your copy looks freaking mint!!!

Ohh yeah those boxes look sweet too! Some really colorful desirable titles there.
