Most Underrated NES games
How about some of the most underrated games out there? I just came across Shatterhand, and while the cover art is cheesy, it is a really good game. Another that I didnt think would be very good is Rescue Rangers. I bought it for the kids, but it is pretty good! I have also been enjoying Shadow of the Ninja and Lunar Pool. How about you all?

Also, MC Kids is another of my favorites.

MCkids was pretty fun.
Micro Machines (unlicensed games get no love)
Alfred Chicken
Little Nemo
Panic Restaurant (can you tell I'm fond of platformers)
Zombie Nation (you actually need to cause wanton destruction to the city to power-up)
Gun-Nac (although widely regarded as the system's best shmup, a scarce sleeper)
Spelunker (Much maligned, but I like it. Wiz, if you like Conan you'll like this one lol)
Fire 'n Ice
Kabuki Quantum Fighter
Street Fighter 2010
Have you ever beaten Gun Nac? I have played many times and I can get to the last level but it's nearly impossible, NO it is impossible. I think it's built for the quarter eaters in the arcade like most flying shooters it just keeps getting harder and harder only at home it's free but the difficulty is still there.

That said I was extremely happy with the difficulty curve though, for a shmup it was really masterfully done in that respect. Talk about quarter eaters, games like Raiden were built to immolate you before you were halfway through the first round
I forget whether the final boss was a cake boss or not...I just remember having the most trouble with the money stage boss with those randomly exploding floor tiles. Gah.
Sivak: I thought I was going to love KQF when I was a kid after reading the teaser in one of the Nintendo Powers, but I found it lacking in depth. Sprites were kinda small too.
Legacy is a huge platforming dungeon crawler that requires you to either map out the dungeon, or have pretty sharp memory (or cheat). It boasts 5 playable characters, all with attributes and different items they can equip. Then there's the music. Right up there with the best on NES, nay the best in all of gaming. It is that catchy.
The only downside, and what I feel scares people away is that Legacy is incredibly daunting at first. It is not at all easy to get familiar with the dungeon, the characters, the (many) items, etc - but once you do, you'll discover one of the greatest, most rewarding and underrated games ever.
am not sure if the section is part of Classified Information or not, but the section with questions like "How do I get past....?" and then a short solution with some screenshots.
Counsellor's Corner was what I was thinking of
Really? I have had this for a while and never fired it up once. It's one of those sports-events type games right? Like World Games or American Gladiators?
Some of my Favourite NES games are McDonaldland, Captain Skyhawk, Digger T.Rock, Terminator 2: Judgement Day & New Ghostbusters 2.
The last 3 I've yet to complete but I've come very close a few times on T2.
Rare had it going on as far as NES games go.
Hey has anyone mentioned PinBot yet?
Also from Rare, and I'll be damned if it isn't the single best pinball sim I have ever played.
Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers is really fun to play with the kids. I'm pretty sure you can pick up the other player. This is good when your son cant get past a cactus or something.
