Purchased Lucario Amiibo from japan for $21 shipped on Jan 30th. After 4 weeks I contacted the seller and he responded telling me to give it a little more time. Contacted him gin and have not heard from the seller. Called Ebay to find out I only had 30 days to open a case. Since I paid through paypal, I get 180 days so now I get to call paypal to make a dispute. Heck, if it shows up after I get my refund, I will still give the money back to the seller. The west coast dock workers have been on strike, they just not went back to work (I think). This would have killed the price of soybeans for farmers, except for the fact that brazil also had a strike, so they wern't exporting beans. Brazilian truckers went off strike just after the dockworkers went off theirs, so it's a free-for-all before bean prices go crazy. Same thing is happening to other import\exports now. Delays in shipping, and crazy price jumps.

For a while, I kept having to put a note on there "Make sure the address paypal sent is 7715 blah blah blah". For some damned reason when paypal and billmelater merged, they fucked up the paypal checkout address books, and even their helpdesk can't figure out why it's inserting my old addresses, they keep telling me it's been deleted.

Yea, it's not worth it. I just shut down the ebay store completely before the rare occurance that I go on vacation.
Yeah there is no protection if vacation mode listings are available for sale. The only vacation mode benefit is that you can hide them all with one click. and put them all back up when you return. The catch there is if someone has your item on their watch list they can still access the listing.
Fuckin pissed. I bought a surface pro 3 that appeared to be in perfect shape from a seller w low feedback (like 4 or 5). It arrived in a fortress of bubbles and packing peanuts. Got it out, and the touch screen isnt responding. Ok its off right? Nope its on. I look closers, the entire screen has a crack running from edge to edge that you cant see if you look at it straight on, its only visible on an angle. The screen even makes funky colors when you touch it.
I contact the seller and tell him he hosed me on a broken unit. Hes saying no he watched people back it, the pics its working, etc. So I just file for a return and he accepts. Then he sends me an email about how he really hopes this is just buyers remorse -_- Nope. I'd actually really love a new computer right now.

Reminds me of when they removed my Famicom Sachen game cart listings for being bootlegs, despite the fact that those games are unlicensed original titles. Went back and forth with their customer service for weeks about it, to remove a ban from my account on selling video games. Eventually they changed the story (after they saw that they were wrong) and said that the reason I couldn't sell those games was because they needed an adapter to play on an American NES...yet everyone else was also selling Famicom games, and warning buyers that if they want to play on a US machine, they needed an adapter. Never did get my account problems fixed, and I finally closed the account for good last month.
Ebay was a third job for me, basically a hobby (I enjoy selling things casually, when I have the spare time). It was a way for me to make imported games available to Western buyers, without gouging on prices or shipping, something that so many import sellers tend to do. In return it allowed me to make a few extra bucks to fund my own collection, and also helped me when I went game hunting, as I didn't feel nearly as sad if I came home with some sort of find, even if it wasn't something I needed for my collection. But the way things have become for sellers, it is just rediculous, and I am glad that I was forced out when I was. I hope that some decent alternative comes along some day in the future, but my hopes are quite low.

My local Goodwills have officially lost their damn minds...This came as-is. No cords or controllers or anything. Another location across town had Atari 2600 commons and Genesis sports titles priced at $6.99 each!
In fact, all the prices seem to be going up. CDs are now $2.99 instead of $1.99, DVDs and disc-based games range from $3.99-6.99, and some stores are pricing VHS tapes at $1.49 instead of $0.49. I guess times are tough when you get all your effing inventory for ABSOLUTELY FREE and you don't have to pay taxes on it either!!!
After almost 2 years of searching for one, a thrift shop in my area opened up. I have no idea how long it's been there but couldn't have been open for more than a month. I walk in hoping to find good deals on games. Well I found the glass case of games. They had a bunch of Atari 2600 CIBs with no price (which I don't care about) but the things that really got me was they had a PS2 with no controllers or power adapter for $89 and a Dreamcast that looked physically broken and had a sticker saying "parts missing" for $60. Wtf!? Even the overpriced game resellers in my area are cheaper than this. This is why I shop online.

Well ebay removed 14 listings of box only's from me today. A long time ago they removed display system boxes. Even though all my stuff is clearly marked what it is. It is in the other category. Not games.
Dude on the phone the first time said yeah we can easily fix that mistake and transfered me
Next person says my account is large and needs to transfer me back to the US for this
US person then tells me that they are cracking down on box only fraud. Well my items are vintage so that shouldnt matter. He said they were pulled by bots. Well then reinstate them and take the marks off my account for violating policy. Well we dont do that.
Call back later. Person gives same run around but says they will call back
They call back and now instead of the "dont want our buyers being tricked" excuse they give me the "someone could buy this and dupe someone else" excuse. LMAO Well anyone can do that if it had the game as well by just selling the box.
Ebay is ridiculous. Anyway yeah 14 violations on my account today even though their policy states box only if they are vintage are allowed on the site. Dude then said vintage meant 50 years or older. LMAO WOW
So sick of that dumbass site. They cant admit they made a mistake ever. He tells me its not black and white. And I told him exactly so in my case clearly its ok, but they wont fix it. I cant recover the listings and edit them or anything. Just gone.

Reminds me of when they removed my Famicom Sachen game cart listings for being bootlegs, despite the fact that those games are unlicensed original titles. Went back and forth with their customer service for weeks about it, to remove a ban from my account on selling video games. Eventually they changed the story (after they saw that they were wrong) and said that the reason I couldn't sell those games was because they needed an adapter to play on an American NES...yet everyone else was also selling Famicom games, and warning buyers that if they want to play on a US machine, they needed an adapter. Never did get my account problems fixed, and I finally closed the account for good last month.
Ebay was a third job for me, basically a hobby (I enjoy selling things casually, when I have the spare time). It was a way for me to make imported games available to Western buyers, without gouging on prices or shipping, something that so many import sellers tend to do. In return it allowed me to make a few extra bucks to fund my own collection, and also helped me when I went game hunting, as I didn't feel nearly as sad if I came home with some sort of find, even if it wasn't something I needed for my collection. But the way things have become for sellers, it is just rediculous, and I am glad that I was forced out when I was. I hope that some decent alternative comes along some day in the future, but my hopes are quite low.

I don't make in search of posts on those groups, preferring to wait and see what pops up. Turns out I missed a really good n64 lot by a few hours but no sweat,, as someone posts a boxed n64 controller for a good price. i get the pictures but using the ebay messaging system, which i can't save those attachments,
i sent him a reply telling him that and to actually email me the same pictures so that i can save them on my pc and finish up the claim

article was from december 17th. Post office was super slow during the northeast and northern snow storms. I got so many where are my package emails after the 4-6 day ebay window passed. Thanks ebay.

Bought a game boy advance original system. Leaves negative. No contact. Says screen on original game boy advance is too dark. THEY ARE THAT WAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DAMNIT!!!! I had a spotless record on ebay since january and was getting all the unwarranted bs defects off my account. I knew it was too good to be true.

Edit: Sent another troll message to me saying they reported another one of my items that was actually the lowest BIN on ebay at a little over 8 dollars. This person is a dick. Left several neutral and negatives already from their limited time on ebay.

In fact, all the prices seem to be going up. CDs are now $2.99 instead of $1.99, DVDs and disc-based games range from $3.99-6.99, and some stores are pricing VHS tapes at $1.49 instead of $0.49. I guess times are tough when you get all your effing inventory for ABSOLUTELY FREE and you don't have to pay taxes on it either!!!
