Man, eBay really made a hell of a lot of changes in the redesign.
The watch feature is awesome if you're a seller but sucks as a buyer. The whole point of watching was to mask your interest in an item, which is pointless now. But as a seller, you know just how frustrating it is when something goes unsold with 4 or 5 watchers waiting for a cheaper relist. I've noticed now that people are pulling the trigger earlier before a relist, since they see others watching.
But apparently eBay won't let you send pics to an email now? You have to attach them as a response to a message? Pretty soon they'll be stripping emails out of messages too... just like Amazon. The site is definitely more like Amazon than ever before now...
Anyone else see that they changed the good old logo, with a weird looking new one?
I'm really sick of the changes they keep making, they force them on you. Then when your finally used to them, they change everything again. They should have left everything the way it was, now it's hard as hell to even find a specific game.
My first gripe with eBay redesign is the removal of the second search. When I do a "completed" search and want to do a quick search for something outside that category I used to be able to use the search at the top of the screen. Now there is only one search and it is the one that uses the same preferences you set from the previous.

Yeah that's not a biggie though, just click the eBay logo then paste your search there (since search bar will now be blank again).
The worst offense was when they removed the Title and Description checkbox for almost a whole week or so, probably a few months back. That made searching so brutal that I stopped with eBay and started hawking Amazon for awhile.

Yeah, I know it's not a huge deal.. it was just the first thing I noticed that I didn't like.
For a while they took the ability to have selling on your summary page. THAT was a pain.
I really wish you could filter completed listings on "sold only" as you can with the eBay app on Android. Maybe I just can't find it.
The last couple weeks I have been selling really well on Ebay, and now all of a sudden the last two days its dead. This is weird. Right when the impliment the new search and site my stuff stops selling. I cant find my stuff on best match anymore despite my top rated seller and superb feedback. I used to be towards the top. what has happened? thanks ebay for your shitty search to gear towards corporate sellers on there now. it was decided pedro couldnt have advertisements on ebay because it wasnt fair now you see toys r us ads and other big corporate sellers all over it. ebay is a piece of shit company.
So I wake up this morning and I had seven bids and seven retractions on the same auction. Is there any way I can find out who's doing this and block them from bidding? I've never had to do that before so I don't know how.
You can look in the bidder history to see who the bidder was, and then add them to your "Blocked Bidder" list (just google "ebay blocked bidder" and it takes you right to the proper page in ebay).
well you shouldnt limit your searches to that anyway. I list everything as acceptable. ebays def of games without boxes and manuals is acceptable. its actually not supposed to be listed any better. So some sellers dont list that way. always just look at them all.
I just checked and it's about 16 hours behind for me. I guess I ran into that the other day when trying to watch someone's auctions end but didn't put 2 and 2 together.
So... I just sold an NES with 20 games on CraigsList. I replaced the 72-pin connector a few months ago, it still works pretty good when I tested it right before giving it to him. I only had to blow on a game once, some worked one the first try. The guy texts me an hour after he gets it, upset that none of the games worked. I explained to him that he needed to use some force when putting in the games, and sometimes clean or blow on the games, and he said "WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME ANY OF THIS BEFORE YOU SOLD IT TO ME" and I told him I thought it was pretty common knowledge but if he wanted to return it I would meet up with him again.
Anyway, I'm just annoyed that I feel like I have to work so hard to sell something sometimes and then have to go through this huge hassle to make them happy. I figured if he was buying an NES he knew what he was getting... but apparently he hasn't played on one since he was a kid, according to him. /rant

This is my main reason for not selling my spare NES consoles online... I'd rather take them to the flea market or sell them at a yard sale so I don't have to deal with the person later
Yeah... after many many text messages I'm going to swap him out with an FC Twin, but still... another trip I have to make and by the time it's all said and done, I'm losing money and have wasted probably a couple hours of my time if you count the time it took me to list/take pics/text him for an hour/meet him twice/etc. Plus gas... ugh.

This is particularly funny for me -- didn't everyone have this exact same problem when playing the NES back in the day as a kid? I know I did!!! Games never worked right away for me 20 years ago, much less today.
If its Craigslist and you know it works nd they not have your home address id say lt em rot as its a waste of your time cash and effort due to incompetence and laziness since you explained how to gt it to work.
And for an international buyer like me who lives in Europe, the new update is also frustrating cause I can't filter out sellers who only ship to the US.
Before the update, I could filter out sellers who wouldn't ship to Europe but now that apparently is gone, or at least I'm having a really hard time finding it, so whenever I search for something I constantly gotta click on each of the items and then scroll down to see where they ship to and most of the times they don't ship internationally.
Takes a huge amount of time.
Why does eBay have to screw up things that worked just fine in the first place. THis is so stupid.
im going to scream. Most of you may remember from beginning of october on here I was pissed of at a guy who tried to scammed me for 500 dollars of games. i finally won that ebay case. ebay gave them money back as a courtesy. Gave the thief there money back. I got to keep my money since I proved that I did everything I was suppposed to do.
The item was purchased in july. he filed initial ebay cases in september. Got them settled a little less than a month ago.
NOW TODAY I GET A CHARGEBACK ON PAYPAL for items not as described. Im so pissed off right now. paypal wont do anything but wait for me to type all the case details and everything that has happened and that they will fight for me. umm yeah right. My money(over 500) is all on hold again. They give me 10 days to respond and then they will gather info and send within 30 days. then the credit card company has 80 days to respond to them. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHh. i want to drive to michigan and punch this fuckin guy in the throat.
and everyone else if you dont know. This buyer bought 500 dollars worth of expensive SNES games from me. Another seller told me to watch out a couple weeks later they were being scammed by this buyer. The buyer sent taht seller cases saying stuff was wrong games...then said they didnt work. story kept changing. Eventually that buyer sent that seller cheap broken games back. Well then ebay ignores all that and lets this process unfold with me too. Buyer didnt respond to cases for 10 days after I agreed to refund once stuff was sent back. My only option to win the cases. Well then ebay put the funds on hold because he protested. He provided his own trackign number and not the one ebay gave him to ship with. Well I didnt get anything back. ebay ruled in my favor. Two days later I get a package. Its full of sports games and magazines to offset weight. I didnt say anything because the cases were over and besides they were trying to scam me. I get a message from ebay saying please send him his money because it shows they were delivered to you. I call ebay and they say its just a message they send to see if we will refund if we really got the items back. So then they say I am off the hook after i explained he sent the wrong items. They said the cases were closed, removed from my account and everything, and its all over. Now I get a chargeback on paypal today nearly a month later. I want to scream.

I would post this in the HOS, along with their username, as quick as you can. Let us know how this ends after all of the eBay/PayPal/credit card claims are all cleared up. I personally want to block this scum from bidding on any of my auctions ASAP.

Damn, makes me glad i sell most of my stuff on cl.
Six days later recived negative feedback from user sweetpea48sweet, stating "There were letters missing and was not advised of this before purchase."
Now if you look at the listing it clearly states in big, bold, red letters that there are mssing letters.
Contacted her saying hey look again, but recieved back that I was still wrong and did not tell her.
Contacted Ebay in hopes of getting it removed. Was hopeful at first because the first person said yeah that is not right, but then I got transfered and told the buyer can have an opinon , even if it is wrong.
They can get away with it because legally they can't be held responsible for assholes acting the way they do and because they're so huge they know if you quit more will replace you and feel they're like the mega banks of this country being too big to fail. Someone would have to make a site almost the same as theirs except with proper management, somehow get all the honest eBay users to come over, and do something else cool as a catch like say extending end of auctions to kill off bid sniping poachers. If someone did that I'd erase my eBay account.
man its annoying selling nes systems to people. They have no clue what they are doing. "its blinking" derp. WEll i have learned removing the lockout chip is annoying so i just leave it there. It really doesnt get the games to work any easier. Just stops the blinking. Also i know the problem if they say its blinking
i include a home made instruction manual in all my nes systems. people just dont even read it. If people are buying this theyve had to own one in there lifetime right? damnit these people are annoying as shit and just dont get it.
i offered someone $30 for something listed at $46 plus $5 shipping. on ebay. automatically declined. so i offered $35. automatically declined. so then my last offer, i offered $40. automatically declined. why even bother with having a best offer option????

Amazon? I wanted to sell an nes on amazon but I don't want to deal with shit like that.
I had someone tell me that the pokemon red I sold her was counterfeit, because "the colors are off" , bitch the game is 13 yrs old don't compare it to a ds game.
lol no ebay. amazon for a seller is way too risky. you can claim something doesnt arrive on amazon. and if the seller didnt have signature confirmation, buyer automatically wins. thats some bull and the single reason i wont sell on there.

Sell that NES locally! Whenever I put one up on CL about 50% of the replies want pictures, warranties, or to lowball; but usually I'll get one no-questions-asked type of buyer in just a few days.
