  • Is there a way to block out a certain seller's items from appearing in my search results? I have a nice filter set up for certain games but this same seller keeps listing their HUNDREDS of games, all over-prices, AT ONE DAY AUCTIONS! I'm so sick and tired of having to filter through their items.
  • do your search

find the "seller" options in the left column

    click specify sellers

    check "only show items from"

    select "specific sellers" radio button

select "exclude" in the drop down list

enter your seller names to block separated by a comma

    click the go button
  • Awesome! Thanks so much! Nothing is worse than the same dude relisting 1-day auctions of over-priced games. I looked at his completed items... pages and pages of unsold items; it looks like one out of every 100 items of his actually sells.

I had someone tell me that the pokemon red I sold her was counterfeit, because "the colors are off" , bitch the game is 13 yrs old don't compare it to a ds game.

Sell that NES locally! Whenever I put one up on CL about 50% of the replies want pictures, warranties, or to lowball; but usually I'll get one no-questions-asked type of buyer in just a few days.

I was going to sell my NES collection, mostly commons and uncommons left. Rares are gone. I think I might CL it.. But in my city CL is reseller heaven. Too many on there but I'll give it a shot.

I started selling again on amazon early this year. I haven't had any problems with people claiming they didn't recieve it. But I probably just jinxed myself for posting this.
  • So I buy a camcorder on Ebay to replace my broken one. The seller and I agree on 600 shipped, so he changes his buy it now to 600. After I bought it, I paid immediatly, and he acted like everything was good. The next day the seller then said he was waiting for the "funds" to go through, which I told him they were there, and it was an instant thing. He then said he called paypal and they would refund me, he then refunded me the money, relisted his item for more, and sold it to someone else. Not only is this piece of sh*t not going through with the sale with me, but he wasted a week of my time while I was in a hurry to get a damn camera. What can I do besides leave negative feedback?
  • nothing, leave your negative and 1 stars on everything.

Ok, =( god  I hate Ebay sometimes.
  • Every time Ebay does this

"You can not submit your listing due to the following problems

It looks like you're listing an accessory for a video game system. Accessories for systems, including bundles that only include accessories, should be listed in one of the Video Games > System Accessories > categories. If you're listing a system that's bundled with accessories, please add them as "bundled items" in item specifics, or add the word

    Sold this item.

Six days later recived negative feedback from user sweetpea48sweet, stating "There were letters missing and was not advised of this before purchase."

Now if you look at the listing it clearly states in big, bold, red letters that there are mssing letters.

Contacted her saying hey look again, but recieved back that I was still wrong and did not tell her.

Contacted Ebay in hopes of getting it removed. Was hopeful at first because the first person said yeah that is not right, but then I got transfered and told the buyer can have an opinon , even if it is wrong.

How the hell does Ebay get away with this shit?

I once sold a CD that came in a vinyl release, so it was only ever in a CD sleeve. I wrote very clearly that I played it once to make sure worked, it came from a vinyl release in a sleeve, and I put it in a hard case for shipping. I listed it as new, because it was a "new" item, as it never was sealed in the first place. It was a 0.50 cent sale.

Then I notice the buyer had left me negative feedback, and wrote "Buyer admits to playing it, even though it was marked as new".

    ??

So I threatened her with a "you change it, you idiot, or I'll leave your first negative feedback". Luckily that worked. But it is pretty insane that buyer ignorance is grounds for leaving negative feedback. Oh, eBay...

How exactly would you leave a buyer negative feedback?

  • hearing that some gamestops aren't gonna do to midnight openings for Wii U launch based on the fact that they won't have spare units to sell to walkups

Maybe he sold the CD awhile ago. I used to negative buyers (or at least threaten) back when I used to sell. To be honest, I wasn't even aware you could no longer do this as a seller until you told me in this. Chalk up another 'eBay hates sellers' rant.

  • Sellers can't negative feedback buyers? Never noticed you couldn't, jesus christ
  • Yeah they stripped it claiming sellers extorted feedback through it which is bullshit with the tactics buyers play on sellers too. It happened a few years ago and has gone downhill from there.
  • yeah I had a buyer threaten me with negative feedback in the past, ebay's really gotten out of hand
  • DAMNIT EBAY IS INCOMPETENT.... I have box onlys for sale and they removed one today stating its unauthorized accessories. wtf. it wasnt listed in the game category. it was under video games>other. Its clear what it is and i was told by ebay 2 years ago these items belonged in the other category. Thats what I did. Now they remove it. Lady on the phone has no clue about these being valuable. Keeps stating that there is no game product in it. HELLLOOOO ITS NOT IN THE GAME CATEGORY. UGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHhhhh. These are collectable. She said no they werent and there isnt a game in it. I said these are just like a vintage toy still in the package. The packaging is worth money. She said I needed to put it under vintage collectables then. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHh,.... STUPID BITCH ITS IN THE VIDEO GAME OTHER CATEGORY BECAUSE ITS NOT THE GAMEEEEEEEEEEEE

just transferred to product safety.............send me to an american!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! damnt i cant communicate with an indian woman. .....i know ebay better than she does.
  • quest4nes which game was the box for? there are always a lot of box only auctions on ebay i don't see why one would stick out?

what is your ebay username, maybe there was something in the description?
  • it was a joe and mac 2 box. its been removed completely. doesnt show up anymore. i have several boxes on there and have never had a problem. it is all perfectly stated and in the correct category with clear description and pictures. i told the woman to search for nintendo box only. yes 1096 results as of 2:30 or so. I told her lets go through all these and report them. she said I see but you are just selling a box. ughhhh she was dumb of course woman thats why we typed nintendo BOX ONLY.
  • Your auction was likely flagged by an fraud algorithm since your title had the word "mac" in it. There are scammers selling empty boxes for Apple products (iphone, ipad, mac) so you got swept up in the broad search for these type auctions.

  • thats actually pretty astute of you. didnt think about that. how do i sell it now ughhh. ebay started the whole unauthorized accessories thing. ugh
  • I always just put boxes in the game category. eBay is full of shit. You would think with they money they are making they would hire people in America, since our country is dire need of jobs. Nah fuck it lets increase our profits and say fuck America. Well I guess this is just like any other company in the US now too.
  • If u do bin's its 50 cents in other and .05 in game category.. I have a mid grade store subscription so its .05 for me to list everything. Regardless of category. So that way i can put them in the other category. You dont know how many stupid ass people buying things thinking they were getting a game even though it said box only no game a hundred times. In title, description title and description. I even pictured inside of empty box. In the game categoryEbay will remove them and asshole sellers report competitors daily and get stuff removed so they can sell theirs.
  • You know what pisses me off about CL ? Stuff like this : http://cincinnati.craigslist.org/clt/3368875722.html IT DRIVES ME INSANE BECAUSE PEOPLE WHO ARE DUMB SEE THIS AND BELIEVE THIS IS THE PRICES OF AN NES ADVANTAGE

    !!
  • What I have learned: If paid through paypal and with a credit card ebay seller protection is useless. Even when you win the case you still probably will lose.
  • -xposted from locked thrad-

so there was a snes collection on CL for a decent price (It was like 25 games, a few controllers, and box for $120) and I spied an earthbound cart and other popular games (marios, etc). I called and was like "i'll buy it right now, i will be in your neighborhood in 15 minutes" and seller is like "ok" so i go and the seller is like "well, someone else called and said that this game alone is worth $150 so i'll sell you the rest for this much and you can pay me more for this game" i basically told the guy to eff off but thanks anyway.

who does this? why would someone ruin a sale like this?
  • Anyone else having issues with ebay this morning? My completed listings tab is completely gone. Just vanished over night.
