I Should add that the message title was NOT AS DESCRIBED.....anyway here is what she said

"""Hi,I recieved the WWE Smackdown vs Raw case....but when I opened it there was no game inside! Can We Please Resolve This Issue It Is A Christmas Gift For MY 10yr Old Son!""""""

here is what i responded by

Item was as described, this was for the case only and no game included. We mention this 3 times in the listing (the search title, the listing title & the description) so this would be clear. I am sorry you made a mistake, but we were very clear on what was included. We can take returns but we have a restocking fee of the original shipping cost, So if you want to return it I will be happy to send a refund. You can reuse the bubble mailer I sent the case in. Thanks for contacting us first. My shipping info is below.

    Again, sorry for the trouble

I cant stand people sometimes. My first negative since like april may only 3 in the past 12 months on high volume sales. ughh had such a good streak going. still dont see how i was so rude and deserved a negative. my guess is she is mad and taking it out on me instead of herself who didnt read.

The listing states CASE ONLY NO GAME 3 times....what more can I do????????

Speaking from experience in retail (and working in a  hotel), I would assume she thought you were accusing her. I have learned to never tell a client/customer that they made a mistake. We are allowed to say that there was a misunderstanding or that a mistake was made. Just never allowed to tell them that THEY made the mistake. All I can see that would somewhat justify her feelings. Personally I dont think its grounds for a negative though.

  • yeah i guess, the problem was she sent teh message with a not as described tag. How is it possible to tell here the listing was for the case only and to not make it sound like she made a mistake. lol

Did you put it in the title also? If you did then she is a fucken moron.

I sold a pokemon game earlier this year that did not save. I out in the title "does not save".

Sold it to an ebay noob with a few feedback. After she paid she asked if it came with a case, I said no and since I saw she was a noob I told her that the game doesn't save(even though she should have seen it in the title). After I told her that she asked for her money back since she didn't know it does not save.

Lesson: A lot of Americans are stupid and lazy. They just look at pictures when they buy they don't like to read the title or description.
  • Yeah it was in the title, then also in the description title, then also in description paragraph itself
  • There should be a law that makes people use common sense for auctions and... well, everything else.
  • Good news!!!! She revised it to positive!!!!! Women smh. So emotional. This lady was bipolar i swear

Looks like she revised it to a positive?

    Agreed.

  • For those of you cats that ship boxes via USPS , you might want to consider Fedex. Better rates, ebay has added them to their shipping page. Funny though how their rates work though. I had a 9 lb and change box so I went to print a label for 10 lb. 10lbs was $11.87 , I wanted to see how they priced each pound so I calculated for 11 lb and it came out to $11.47. 12 lbs was $11.87.
  • People that wait until you have given positive feedback, to give you negative feedback without even contacting you first to solve the issue.
  • So the guy I sold the prop too, doesn't respond to emails but agreed to close the transaction. In the cancellation response section he wrote that he didn't have time to pick it up. I sent him an email saying he could just sign the pink slip and check "leave at address", he never responded. I think he had buyers remorse. I won't be refunding him the shipping costs.
  • Just a heads up, according to local seller "dreamstorageauctions@hotmail.com", a sealed Blues Brothers for the NES is worth minimum $300, $400 if VGA'd. The fact that this nicer VGA'd copy solid for under $100 means nothing - http://tinyurl.com/cw2fqft

He will also assure you that it will be graded 80+, regardless of how it looks in photos or that he's never had anything VGA'd.

I know this is a useless post, but man am I sick of sifting through the same garbage from the same clueless resellers time and time again... I'm almost dreading what next summer is going to be like, having to run into these people at yard sales.

Don't get me wrong, I think reselling is fine and of course people are going to do it, but can't some of them do a tiny bit of research?

I told him I'd sell him a sealed F-Zero and Vegas Stakes that he can resell. We'll see what happens.
  • I'm getting really sick of these people wanting to cancel out their won auctions by claiming some tragedy just occured in their life. I'm sorry, but I always find these excuses to be complete and utter bullshit. Maybe I'm being a bit insensitive, I don't know, but I've seen too many "my mom/dad/uncle/aunt died" excuses, and "sudden medical expenses" to take it as truth. Also, really, right after you won my auction this event suddenly happened? I can't prove whether they're telling the truth or not, but I'm more inclined to believe they're lying, I mean, it's the Internet, there's no dignity here. It's annoying how I have to waste my time with cancelling out the transaction, doing second chance for a lower amount or relisting, etc.

I'm sure others have had their fair share of these "sob" stories, ugh...

As much as it sucks and I really hate to agree with it...I agree with quest.
  • Fucking Gamestop. Tried to pick up the Adventure Time Collector's Edition there. They had a "new" one, but of course they had to open it to display it...
  • Ah, yet another dick move by the gut masters themselves, bravo!
  • I really hate seeing these "collector's cases" and magnets. They always clog up the searches on ebay.

Yeah I'm not the biggest fan of Lukie either. Sometimes you just to deal with crappy sellers when you really want something.

I agree. Looking for boxes and such for older consoles and the first ten things you get are magnets and plastic repro cases. t's worse on the daily "new" listings for things. Yesterday my generic "SNES box" daily notification came in, all 12 of the pictures were of repro SNES controllers new in box, pissed me off. But hey, that's what you get for having a non specific search term.

  • Ok so on November 15th my GF sold some games to help us with $$$ issues with a baby on the way, we managed to send 2/3 out USPS but the third guy took his time to pay and paid too late so was sent out Canada Post since we were now back living up here. Since it is the holidays i suspect the package takes about twice as long to ship since a few things i bought on here and ebay took about that long as well. Anyways he opened a case and won it in no time at all seamed like ebay was like meh idc and gave it to him without following up more with me about the situation; he got everything back so now im out a game, shipping and ebay fees and i know he is gonna get it in a few days.

Its not a lot of $$$ but when stretching a budget for a baby 30$ is a pack a diapers i cant get now. Just ticks me off knowing he will be getting it soon, got his $$$ back and doesnt care, hell for all i know he got the game a week ago and just wanted to get his cash back since there was no tracking.

http://myworld.ebay.com/margocedeno1967 is the user, if its not allowed to be up I will remove it. Least the other two packages got where they were going, one to an NA member as well

Anyways i think im done ranting and have a Merry Xmas.

Well they shouldn't even be listed as a box, more a case. I have some very specific boxes in my saved searches on ebay. I really hate getting emails that say these cases have been listed.

I don't just hate these cases for clogging up my searches, I hate them especially for this reason:

The people on TheCoverProject are scanning, cleaning, archiving, and making all this beautiful game artwork free and available to the public. TheCoverProject has some of the nicest  and most dedicated people.

It's really unfortunate that these ebay clowns came along and are now profiting off the hard work of those people. And these "collector's case's" aren't cheap either, they're usually around $10. The cost of one UVG case and a printed insert costs around $1/case to make, probably less. In the auctions I've checked out so far, the people couldn't even be bothered to thank TheCoverProject for their dedication. The number of these sellers has unfortunately grown in the last year or so.

Shame on the people who buy these from the ebay sellers and actually support this shit.
  • Yea, there's I think three or four sellers of "collector's cases" on ebay, all around the same price. I never liked them for the simple fact they are fakes and repros, and expensive ones at that. I'd rather have a loose cart/manual tbh.
  • Im not endorsing the people making cases but if they are 10 shipped they barely are making anything. Cost atleast 2-2.50 to ship. 1.50 ish in fees. You say 1 to make. Like 5 bucks a case profit. Not really a killing. Id wish theyd go away too , but its not like rhey are rolling in dough from those from all the pre supply buying they probably have to do
  • Yea, I guess, I just hope they don't give people a false sense of value/completeness. But hey, to each their own. What are the actual prices for "display cases"? Like the small earthbound one, and the few other "for display only" case? Are they legit or repros? They look too good to be legit IMO.
  • ^ I'd pick up one of those Earthbound repros if I knew what the back of the box looked like.
  • I'm pretty sure the back is the same as the big box, just slimmed down. Could probably easily find it on Ebay.
