Ebay tip for my international buyers: if you ask me or mention first class international shipping, your message is deleted. I probably will quote you that price. But since you know what it is and ask for it specifically you arent buying my stuff.
What was this in response to? I'm actually dealing with some jackass from Germany right now through Ebay in regards to items he claims to have never received which were sent international first class mail.
responded to your pm
basically if you ask specifically for it, trust factor goes way down for me since first class isnt tracked and can win a case by claiming somethign doesnt arrive automatically.
Lost 10+ feedback points on eBay because buyers AND sellers never left me feedback after the 60 days. Even after I messaged them asking them to please leave me feedback. And even after I left THEM positive feedback. That's just rude.

I know... thats why I always ask if they have any problems as well. Idk, I just think it's wrong when I leave people feedback (whether a seller or buyer) and I never get feedback returned.

I find that almost every Japanese seller I've bought from never leave feedback unless I do it first, and only if it's positive. Say if I bought 3 items from one and leave positive feedback for two but neutral/negative for one, I'll get two positive feebacks.
New rant- photobucket. They changed their layout, which isn't a big deal. But now when you upload pics it tags some garbage random characters at the end, so you can't just copy one link and paste it a bunch of times (and just change the incremented pic number at the end), you have to copy and paste every single fucking image link.

total opposite for me. they always leave feedback rightaway. the US seller tho, crap they doesnt give feedback. even after mesages & messages. i'm waiting for 5 feedback right now and no one answer even if i gave them positive and generous feedback. piss me off a bit.

This is not really a gripe with eBay, just a gripe in general.
I hate waiting for auctions to end. I do, however, love a good auction that will actually tell the real value of an item, rather than inflated buy it now prices. I'm waiting on an auction that ends in about 25 hours. I'm the high (only) bidder, and the price seems to be about what the item actually sells for, maybe a few bucks under. I did my usual strategy and picked the lowest buy it now that I would be comfortable with condition wise and bid the auction to the point where it wouldn't cost me more than that price to get it. The idea is that I pay no more for the game than I would with the buy it now, but I get a small discount on it if possible. If the auction ends and I didn't win, hopefully the Buy It Now is still around and I can pick it up either way.
I sold a very mint looking GBA SP Complete in Box on ebay awhile back. The guy paid and I shipped it off the next day. I shipped it bubble wrapped in a box so it arrived safely. A week later the guy tells me that the GBA is not mint, it's all scratched and that he'd like a full refund and he'd return the item. This sounded crazy to me, as I knew it was in new condition, but okay, being a good guy if the buyer isn't happy for any reason then I'll provide a refund.
I provided a refund and gave him my mailing address to send the item back. Apparently you can get a return mailing slip from ebay or something where it's already paid for... or I pay for, I'm not sure how that works. Anyways a month later and I don't see thing. I email the guy wondering if he's sent it back, and get no response. Send another email and still get no response. I wait a few more weeks and by this time I'm getting kind of pissed. I can't leave negative feedback on ebay as this transaction is already done and I can’t open a case either. My next email I call the guy a scam artist and I let him know that I know the phone number of the local police department (which was easy to find since I have his name and address) and that I'd be contacting them if I don't get a response. It was a pretty empty threat, but I wasn’t sure what else could I do. This guy had strait up scammed me.
Suddenly his email starts working again. He tells me that he contacted ebay but he couldn't get the return label printed... it wasn't his fault, he shouldn't have to deal with this, it was all my fault for giving him a refund right away and I should have known better... ect... ect... all while cussing me out. Even though the guy is a scam artist idiot I don't return the insults as I don't really care I just want the GBA SP back. He says he'll call ebay again and get the return address and send it back. He also mentions that his sisters dog chewed up the power cable.
A few weeks later I get it mailed back, he threw it in a box with no bubble wrap or padding. The box is damaged, the charger is missing, but the GBA SP is still in nice condition. Looking at the GBA SP, it's just like a described in my original auction. It's flawless, no scratches or anything. So what was this guys deal in the first place? Only one answer. He wanted a free item. He bid, paid, complained, got a refund, had no intentions of ever returning the item and was hoping that I'd just let it go. Grade-A douche... still makes me mad.

Japanese or not I do the same and don't blame them. I've been on there 15 years and I should have a notably higher rating than I do now but I found before when I'd feedback right away I'd get nothing 1/2 the time. I will only feedback too only if someone gives it to me and never until then, it has improved my feedback receiving I think up to around 90% or so.

Good call! I opted out before, but had to dig a little to find it this time.
Okay so I'm selling Mario RPG on amazon. Some guy asks if the save function still works and then 2 minutes later the game sells. So anyways I don't think twice, ignore the question since the game is already sold and just print out the label. Then I get this really threatening email about how 'didn't answer his question and already shipped and if it doesn't work he wants a refund yadadada'. I'm really sick of stupid buyers lately and I just reply that it was pretty fucking dumb to buy a game without getting your question asked but to answer his question, yes everything works.
Had a buyer leave me bad feedback on eBay because something was admittedly not present in the box in the game I sold... I mean like it said in plain English "this thing ain't fucking here"
Even took a picture of the contents of the box... fuckstick took nearly a week to pay me too and had to be threatened with a non-paying bidder report before I got my $
I AM SO SICK OF INVALID ADDRESSES ON EBAY..........FIX THIS EFFFINNNNNNNNNNN PROBLEM EBAY....WHY DO YOU EVEN LET PEOPLE WITH AN INVALID ADDRESS PURCHASE THINGS? THIS HAS TO BE FIXED. HAPPENS WAY TOO OFTEN
just had to cancel a 125 dollar genesis game purchase from a person from germany due to invalid address. This is getting ridiculous. such a hassle to refund. relist all the stuff. send 7 cancellations that if they dont accept I have to pay fees on all the games. Language barrier etc. This is ridiculous
I called a guy that had a ad in the classifieds about a NES with games. He told me he had a system, Powerpad, Zapper, and a few games. The most expensive game he said he had was Mega Man 4, since I didn't have it and don't have a spare NES I asked him how much. He then started saying "I don't know. On the internet these go pretty high" I pretty much knew then that it was going to be to expensive, but I asked if he could name a price, then he said "$150 for everything" After that, I told him I'd have to think about it, and got off.
I'm really getting sick of these idiots. They get their systems out of closets/attics/basements see one system with a ton of games or somthing like Bonks Adventure included go for a lot on ebay, and then automaticly think every retro game especially NES is worth a fortune.
Bahaha.. I got banned on one of my 7 Facebook Groups because I followed all of the rules, and had to keep making my "ISO" posts because they kept getting deleted. I remade it about 20 minutes ago, and the group owner responded saying "All businesses must have a Tax ID posted. If you don't your post will be deleted again." So I told her I'm a 24 year old with a two bedroom apartment just attempting to increase my collection and gain some trade fodder for NintendoAge forums, not a business, and of course I thanked her for assuming I was a business and regularly deleting my posts. I also asked her if she had a problem with it the first time, why didn't she contact me and at least tell me what was wrong? She responded and said: "We don't need rude people on here!" and banned and blocked me. LOL. Sigh.
Yea, i see it all the time on Kijiji, people with NES systems with a few games thinking they've hit gold. "No dude, your NES with one controller and a few sports games and Mario Games is not worth $200". There's also a few people that were "cleaning out their sons room" and came across some games, I think while they were cleaning out, they made a trip online to check the prices too and list accordingly, if the prices were raised an extra $15 each.
Also dumbass who has been posting 455 Wii games on 1 TB hard drive" for the past 5 months, when will he realize no one wants to buy stolen games? I've replied a few times to his ad, stating how it is illegal to sell them and that no one wants them.
Goodwill. SEGA Genesis console for $20, games are $10 each. Great job, Goodwill.
Complaining about a local mom & pop bookstore that has a few games (some overpriced, some underpriced) I hate it when the owners find unpriced stuff that I'm trying to buy and check FeeBay for pricing. I did still get a deal, but that pisses me off. They're commons, anyway, but I didn't know the price.
looked up how goodwill on ebay works. They pay zero seller fees when there stuff sells. They get there fee money back on each sale. 100 percent. So not only are they getting there stuff for free flooding ebay, they are not having to pay like everyone else. Just wrong.
