  • God forbid a buyer be held accountable for their actions. I had a neg left because the post office fucked up... not me, but the post office. What was the problem? Oh, a fucking blizzard and ice storm that delayed this little pissant's delivery by a few days. Thankfully that got reversed. Could I leave him a negative because I had to open a NPB case before he paid? Nope.

I think the estimated delivery bullshit, is the worst aspect of ebay currently. People are stupid as shit.
  • Based on the item that was sold... wouldn't surprise me if it was a member here.
  • You guys know eBay launched report a buyer earlier this year? Has to be at least a month or two ago. I haven't used it personally but they claim it has already helped them target and remove problem buyers.

  • I've reported several buyers, it hasn't really accomplished anything as far as I can tell.

just go ahead and block that user id if you sell systems. Genesis doesnt load the game on the first try everytime so they are returning it not as described and I lose out on shipping. Yayy!!!!

  • It WILL load the first time every time (top loader systems anyway) if you clean the game cartridge connectors with 70% alcohol and cotton swabs real good. Not sure how to do the consoles themselves though.

nah man not everytime if you are normal person who isnt an anal collector.

Hell it wont work everytime for anal collectors. No one that I know cleans a game off their shelf everytime they play it. You can have the cleanest newest system available and a game still might not load first try. Ive gone through a ton of systems. No one has the game working first try everytime without fail. If they say so they are lying. It occasionally takes more than once even on top loaders style sysetms

I agree with you. the contacts have to be aligned just the right way otherwise it's no good. a lot of it is just how you're inserting the cartridge

I do have a SMB/Duck Hunt that I swear has a 100% rate; every time it works. I attribute that to the fact that it came with a "new" Nintendo, complete and the owner likely never even tried it

  • If don't know about NES toploaders, but I've had experiences with SNES and n64 where I've had to shift the cartridge a little bit in the slot before. I think besides the contacts, there's factors like screw-tightness and minor plastic deformities that can lead to a non-perfect fit. Take those cartridges where the two sides of the shell don't line up right, for example.
  • Can somebody tell me if I went too far with this...so long story short, I was interested in a NFR game on eBay and this seller listed it on the US eBay website, I didn't go to the NetherLands eBay webpage searching for this...but here is the listing:

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=191094979499&ssPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:US:1123

here is our conversation the past 24 hours...

    Dear zeldajantje,

you mention in your listing that you are willing to hear out reasonable offers. Well what is considered reasonable? 400 for this game is far above its value, and I have seen it go for much less overseas in Europe. I just want to know what you are hoping to get for it max and I'll see what I can do. I am big into collecting Zelda NFR games and at the right price I may pick this one up off you as well.

    Thanks much!

    - Jeremy

    Dear jvergason757,

will NOT sell for that amount so please do NOT make me an offer !!!!

    - zeldajantje

    Dear zeldajantje,

    Ok that was rude...

    Good luck with your sale.

    - jvergason757

    Dear jvergason757,

Thank you so much and good luck to you buying rare items for cheap offers!

    Dear zeldajantje,

I have much rarer items than your overpriced game. Besides i didnt even make an offer yet, so how would you know what i intended to offer? Originally i was going to offer 300 for it but since you are so rude i hope you never sell it.

    - jvergason757

    Dear jvergason757,

    go get a life

    Dear zeldajantje,

thanks for that smart remark. I make 6 figures working for the department of defense and have a beautiful wife and two kids, so just for clarification, I have a life. By the way, I reported you to eBay for selling an unauthorized not for resale beta game which is prohibited on eBay. I certainly hope they remove it because not only are you selling something illegal, but you are just a terrible eBay seller, a mean person and frankly I hope you get what's coming to you.

Don't write me anymore or I'll take the next step and file a formal complaint with eBay and have your eBay account suspended.

  • I hate when your at a yard sale and you ask about video games and get to talking to someone about them. Then they tell you "Oh I have this, that and so on, I might be willing to sell it." So you give them your number/email and name and play the waiting game. But they NEVER call/email!

I HATE THAT. At least fucking email me saying you changed your mind or call me saying that ffs!!!! Don't leave me hanging you fucking pricks!

Yeah you went too far. Should have stopped after the, thsts rude comment. No point in continuing. Also you cant do anything to get his account suspended really.
  • I honestly just ignore those people who message me offering fiddy cents on the dollar.

    x2

You started off with a condescending remark implying that his game was overpriced.  Well if it was so overpriced "and you've seen it go for much less", then that's your fault for not buying it "for much less".

You were rude initially and I don't blame the seller for telling you off.  I would have either not responded to you or have just been short and said something like "Sorry, firm on price, thanks."  You don't land deals by telling sellers they are overpriced right off the bat, very poor word selection there.  Much better ways to start a friendly negotiation.
  • man.... this month is starting all shitty for selling online.

idk, seems like a bunch of a-holes have credit cards lately..

so i get a claim on ebay for a OS i sold saying that he couldn't install it getting some "error" and that he had sent me a message prior to the claim. Also that he wants a refund and return shipping cost and once he gets it he will remove the negative feedback he left me.

Yup this SOB left me a negative already

He actually lied about sending me a message prior to the claim too (checked inbox email/ebay and nothing)

I sent him a reply using the claim links nothing mean at all and i get this today,

"what about the shipping I need a shipping for that aswell, its about its about $6.00 with tracking and insurance. Are you going to refund that?

    "

mind you this is just slip paper and a cd in s slip too, and the sale was for only 30 bucks.

I know i have to just bite the bullet and give him the refund but saying that its gonna cost that much, when i paid like 3.60 for it erks' me more....

also when you do a refund, well last time i did it actually only let me do the actual cost of the auction, did something change?

  • Call ebay, that's feedback extortion and they'll remove it.
  • I have contacted them with the report the seller and also calling them but like always i get a outsourced person not really understanding me.

i got time right now and ill try again

the thing is that once you return the money on a case with ebay, the FB is removed by ebay

i think this person knows that and is acting like he is doing me a favor...

"Either a bad seller or hes scamming people. Extremely dissappointed"

    thats his actual FB

if i was a scammer, then i shouldn't have over 900+ good feedback

    ****edit update

currently on the phone rightnow and this lady see's the exortion  and is removing the FB too

so now this person can't leave FB anymore but, I still have a case with him

also if any of you guys want this buyers name pm, and add em' to your list

  • 20 minutes after selling a game for $23.

"Figured out I couldnt afford it, can I have a refund please."
  • Did they pay?
  • Yeh they paid , then immediately asked for a refund. Fast buyers remorse.
  • This is a first.. Buyer admitting to not even reading the description.

Sold a wii with 2 remotes and one had some heavy denting/scratching at the bottom which was clearly stated. Works fine regardless.

Get a message today. "I don't know if that was in the description but I would want my money back."

guy paid full BiN and waited two days before sending me this

"Hey I'm really sorry to do this, but I cannot purchase this. I thought there were games in the boxes. I went to add up the total value and read that games weren't included. Sorry about that."

yeah dude i'm sure you saw something fishy with the total value and the NAME OF THE LISTING!

Your title says "28 games" not "boxes only" or "no games included" and you have it listed in the wholesale lots of "games" category, so maybe it could be confusing?

  • it said game boxes and it was listed for 3 days before that guy purchased it. if those were all complete the price would be a smidge higher and they would have sold immediately lol
  • If any of you like military items, avoid this douche bag/douche bagette militarybizniz on eBay. Bought an item of mine, messaged instantly saying "its fake, cancel the sale. So are all of your other military and hunting items." It was a $22 dollar bayonet for a Mauser rifle... an item that would cost more to fake than it would be worth. I told them it wasn't fake and neither were my other items. Went back and forth for a bit and I eventually called them out on not liking that I undercut their prices... at which point they paid for the item. I instantly refunded & blocked them. Now they left negative because I would let them leave me a negative... eBay is removing it... but seriously, fuck this person. Don't give them a penny if you're into old army stuff... give me your pennies
  • Thanks. I'm keeping an eye out for WW2 era stuff. I just last week used the remains of my b-day cash from March on a 1943 Russian Mosin Nagant M91/30 along with the bayonet, oil flask, kit in pouch, and a couple packs of ammo for it but what it does lack of a strap which I was thinking of digging for one (my Japanese arisaka type 99 lacks one too.) People like that suck, rather not deal with their idiocy.
  • The effed up thing is that this bayonet came with a Czech Mauser I bought from Century Arms like 10 years ago... I'd almost understand if it was some rare ass bayonet, but this thing was tossed into a $99.99 rifle package, kinda like the 91/30 you bought (which I have a few of, Tula script, Tula Star, Tula Star Laminate, Ishvek script, Ishvek Arrow, Ishvek Arrow Laminate, & "MO" marked Pre-WWI conversion).
  • That is annoying. Mine is Ishevsk from 1943, all matching serial numbers on the parts and came with the other stuff, in truly lightly used fantastic shape and was recently test fired too. I was happy to get the package and paid a fair price on it too, was no mind blowing deal. The guy is just a straight up punk from the look of it. It makes me nervous wanting to look for a period strap for my rifles.
