Had some asshole hit BIN on one of my items... you know the two step process... and then messaged me to "release them from obligation to pay" because it was an accident. I've ignored them because thanks to the new rating system if I initiate the cancellation of transaction, it fucks my discount. Fucking hell...

I don't think that you initiating the cancellation counts against you (for the reason you listed). I called ebay before this new dashboard started and I was told that wouldn't matter. Also, if you go to your new dashboard it doesn't count that in the criteria listed. I do this quite often so if I'm wrong please let me know but I'm 99% sure it's fine.

yes cremorecs is right, you just need to make sure you select buyer made mistake or changed mind. It is very important now to make the right selection.
When you get to a computer check your new seller dashboard paage and find out which items caused you to get a defect.
Remember if this guy negs you for not helping him that will count as well
Anyone here use Chrome and have some real problems with posting new stuff for sale?
I've been having an issue lately where I will enter a value and then it auto erases it. Usually it's just the price, bin boxes. Most the time I can enter a price, but when I pop something into the BIN, it cycles for a moment then erases it out every single time. You basically have to submit, then edit, and then it will save the info.
Annoyingly if you do that, then it will keep auto skipping back up to the price area, so you have to like within 2 seconds click off it, hit the END key on the keyboard to hit the bottom, and press 'submit' before it flies back up again or you're trapped.
You'd think a "professional" site like that wouldn't glitch so badly.
Yep. I've been having all sorts of things happening. Things like what you described, and then often when I upload pictures, it doesn't go through, so I have to go back and add them. Or use the classic uploader and even then it takes a few tries to get it working.
Well good I'm not nuts and it's not just happening to me. It makes no sense as it's the only site I've had it happen to me on and it's just infuriating having to go back in 2 maybe 3 times just to set everything right.
Okay, I am extremely upset. Your experiences may differ from mine, but here's a tip from me to you:
If you want to import a game or system from Japan on Amazon: DO NOT BUY it unless it is Amazon Prime eligible.
When importing my Japanese 3DS on Amazon, it was Amazon Prime eligible, and I received it on time. No issues at all. Great.
The next order was for a Japanese white PSP 3000. There was no Prime available, so I figured it would just take longer is all. I waited all of the way until the final date that the estimated delivery date said, then, that's when the seller sent me a message saying that he cancelled the order. I had to call Amazon and my bank to get the money back since it was not deposited back after about a week. Could not leave any feedback since he cancelled the order.
Next order was for Gundam the 3D Battle for 3DS. No Amazon Prime, but I did pay for the expensive shipping to get it here in 1-3 days. I wait again until the final estimated date, and I still didn't get it. I checked the order details, and it said at the bottom that the money was refunded, but it never said that the order was cancelled! If I didn't check the order details, I would've just kept waiting and waiting. So now twice I have wasted my time and energy. Since the order was never officially cancelled, I left the appropriate feedback.
Finally, I try to order the Gundam 3D Battle from another seller. This seller in his description says that he's based in California, but with a name of "COOL JAPAN", I know better. No Amazon Prime, but expedited shipping, so paid that and figured I was finally done. It says that it shipped out, great, but then the next day, the order was cancelled again!
So now three times I have wasted my time trying to import from Japan on Amazon, and all of the orders were cancelled. All three of these sellers had excellent feedback, so I had no way of knowing ahead of time. This is why I cannot stress enough: Make sure that Amazon Prime shipping is available when importing from Japan on Amazon. Do not waste your time on these idiots who are order-cancelling-happy.
Funny that, the Japanese of all people being consistently dishonorable. To think a generation back they'd have to commit seppuku.
Ha! Nice one.
Just a little update. I messaged one of the sellers about this, and he tried to use the "out of stock" excuse. Interesting, because if it was truly out of stock, how come he still has them for sale on his page today?
Like my joke eh? Write the guy back, ask him if he owns a tantou and if he doesn't would he like to buy one cheap so he can conclude business honorably. >:] (Tantou was the particular blade used for seppuku.)
Here's another story that just took place today that some might find amusing. Of those three failed Amazon transactions, two of them were for the Gundam 3D Battle game for 3DS. This time, I went over to eBay to buy it. It cost a little more over there to import this game, but I just wanted it at this point, so I paid and thought it was all finally over.
Nope.
He messages me today saying that he cancelled the order! I told me it was because he was out of stock. Just like the Amazon guy, I checked his page, and he is STILL selling the same game regardless! So now he's knowingly listing something for sale that he "doesn't have in stock."
So I have tried to get this game three times, and all three times have resulted in a failure. So once I get the money back, I'm just going to download this game from the Japanese 3DS eShop and be done with it. No physical copy of Gundam 3D Battle for me.
I rarely even bother with auctions anymore unless its just shit that I want to get rid of... may have to do that soon as I need to move into a larger place again...
I still always used auctions but I put a buy it now on it if someone wants to end it, but since they went to that asinine 30% difference between that's rare. I had a little luck last night and cleared 5 things out of 27, but it's better than the 0-2 of usual.
It's not just the BINs that are kicking peoples ass it's those lame BEST MATCH default searches. So many people are so freaking lazy they'll just go with whatever nicest best match shows up on top/front page and even if it costs more than you should pay, they buy it. Each week I put stuff up I place it lower in price than the resellers, use real images versus a stock photo, and yet they get the money. I got stuff I want gone, but I don't want it gone so fast I put the value into reseller territory so I'm in a bind because of their crappy setup.
Lukiegames and jjgames usually battle over auctions on ebay. Especially if they are big lots. I list big lots like once a year and they bid. I would much rather sell big lots to these resellers because they are less likely to fuck you over or complain.
Lukie's buying ID. Looks like they are still buying a lot. And looks like it's still all auctions.
I don't blame them at all, but the stuff I have isn't enough to be a quality lot without taking a massive loss as it's not a stash of common junk. Sometimes people on ebay are crazy. Last night Kirby Return to Dreamland sold for $51, it retails new for $50. You never can tell with people on there and to think I had no bites at $40 on here.
Guy buys an item from me a ebay, PS3 box protectors. He thinks hes getting a smoking deal on 25 PS3/Bluray replacement clam shells.
Rather then communicating the error and or requesting a return, he Negs me claiming false advertising then send me a nasty message loaded with vulgarity telling me off for scamming 100s of people.
So which is worse? This idiot, or eBay giving me no ability to remove the unwarranted feedback?

I've never bought from those guys, do they charge expectionally high prices for their stuff? I've seen lukiegames' feedback on alot of lots I've watched/bid on, and they're quite willing to bid right up to the VGPC average cost of each game in a lot. I find myself wondering after the cost of purchase how they're able to make a profit unless they charge exhorbrant prices.

You can see what they charge for games on their website. Not that much of a markup compared to amazon
Lukiegames and Sosafan are two of the more fair mass game resellers, but if you want to see markups look to Dkoldies, playeva, and hillbilly games to get a laugh then check how many things are in their 'sold' history then feel sad.
No doubt. A local member here picked up my entire Wii system and games I had up on here and ebay along with the few GBA and N64 items I had too. I gave him a 20% discount off my prices which were on the low/under ebay rate just to not put up with the site. F'n hell is right, that covers the site well.
I'm down to 5 things on there, have a few little PS2 games and a pair of LCDs I need to take the camera too but I've got the stuff finally more or less filtered out along with a big box of random goodies auction I have running on here too. It's all about ebay avoidance now.
Maybe switching to a store will help... in my case at least... and hopefully I won't get dinged for shit that sells over a weekend when I'm marked as away in terms of shipping time. It seems that way from what I read.

marking as away still doesnt exempt from the 90% TRS uploaded tracking requirement. They dont show you mercy on the shipping times.
ebay is really making the sellers bend over backwards to keep TRS. Plus this defect system is garbage combined with the large pool of idiots buyers make it damn near impossible. I just had another buyer leave me neutral feedback (which is a defect) just saying "Cute". I had my defect ratio under 1 and now it is back up to 1.23.
Every little things creates a defect against you. Even if I get the neutral removed it is still a defect. I am literally stopping at the post office every day on my way home from work now. I am thinking once I list every thing I need to I might drop my store and just list items occasionally. It's just not worth the stress over every little thing.

Dishonorable, and a terrible liar.
