  • So i shipped a small CF card on Monday using usps-

Went early in the morning and they basically know that i ask for tracking.

Now the item is small and I put it in a small mailer , turns out it was sent as 1st class letter and when i noticed that it was late in the day

I go to the post office when they open up so I couldnt go right back and track the mailer that day.

In the tracking info i put the expected date of delivery and how it was sent

That day I was thinking to myself ' hopefully I don't get a buyer scammer who's going complain that they didn't get it and want a refund, and never getting a return to sender.

Sure enough today when it is expected to arrive I get a ' where's my stuff' email.

I sent them a reply with the explanation , hopefully it gets there and they are honest
  • I was selling a lot of 226 NES games on Craigslist for $220 this week, and someone drove an hour today to come and take a look at them. I could tell that they weren't very knowledgeable about different NES games, because they were picking up very common games like Star Voyager and Monopoly and saying "I've never heard of this one", things like that.

Well in the ad, it was mentioned that these were all common games, and there were a few pictures included, but she started asking questions like "Is there a Metalstorm somewhere in here?" "Where are all the Castlevanias and Marios?" and I told them there was nothing like that included. So she pulls out this stack of papers, which apparently was her eBay inventory sheet, and starts saying things like "Well I have this one listed for $10 and it hasn't sold, I have this one that sold for $6..." "Start checking these titles out on eBay and see how much we can sell them for." This sort of talk went on for ten minutes or so, like "how much can we make off of this guy" talk, like I wasn't even there.

In the end, they decided that doubling or tripling their money wasn't worth the time or initial money investment, and they drove back to their home (which was about an hour away) with nothing. They tried to offer less, then offer to just buy and handful of games, but I told them that I wasn't going to lower the price and make less money just so they can make more.

I wanted to spray them with a fire hose, right in the genitals, and watch them roll out of the front door like a couple of wet tumbleweeds. Also, something that I thought I would mention, they had this little two year old kid with them that just stared into my eyes for the entire 20 minutes they were here, just breathing through his mouth the whole time.

Whenever I put something on Craigslist, it's usually for a really solid price that (I thought at least) would be good enough even for resellers, but I guess not.
  • Why does ebay let people use last second bots to win auctions...I lost out on a cheap Earthbound because of a fucking bot.
  • Because it makes them more money when people get into pissing matches (or their bots) over an item. Or at least they think so, yet I imagine if they allowed true bidding until it was really over, they'd net more as the true high price would be flushed out and would put the sniping bots out of business.

Ugh, that was painful to read.

  • wii sports -(fit, deca, party, summer, mountain, pin, wacky, topspin, casper's, water, racquet, rock band, frisbee, fifa, nba, gamecube, atari, kidz, soccer, crazy, petz, backyard, free style, active, winter, beach, league, tony, hockey, sega, madden, city, wave, hunter, tiger, celebrity, king)

type that in search field and narrow your search to video games and nintendo wii. That above will get you a price check on wii sports. lmao. damn that game is impossible to search for.

and oh yeah screw buyers asking for something cheaper and when I politely say no and say it will probably be on sale next week for a little cheaper, they then hound me over and over increasing their offer and saying how its only 2 dollars blah blah. Um maybe I just listed it within the week and can it atleast run a cycle? jesus. No means No ebay buyers. This entitled shit pisses me off. They could have easily done what I did and spend 345 shipped on a massive box lot and parted them out box by box which took me a long time, but is now turning out to be well worth it. But no they didnt. They can go fuck themselves.
  • Found Battlefield 1942 Delux(3 discs) and Battlefield Vietnam (3 discs) at Goodwill today. All games are $3. So I grab a $5 DVD player as well. Go to check out and the ignorant lady is looking at the game cases and says " These have more than 1 game in them, $6 a piece." I say, its one game, it just takes 3 discs to install them." She opens to show me the CDs and repeats "2 discs, $3." Well, she is too dumb to see the third disc, so now I know I'mnot winning this. I say keep everything and walk our. Why do iI do it's decide prices on shit they get for free? I mean, I was told 3 and then the price magically doubles because dumbass old lady doesn't know her head from a whole in the ground? I'm done with Goodwill for good now.
  • If you're going to have a big ad about a giant streetwide garage sale with multiple families participating, please have more than 2 houses on the street actually participating. That sure was a waste of gas.
  • Ebay recorded a defect on my account for a transaction they canceled because of fraud. Someone bought a ps3. and an hour later ebay messages me saying they cancelled it reimbursed my fees and told me to relist. So I did. Turns out they recorded the cancellation as a defect. Gonna call them over this. You have to monitor this shit like crazy. I fucking hate ebay. They have divided a nice community into sellers having to watch their back instead of customer service. Once a defect is left, Im not shedding an ounce of customer service.
  • I'm right there with you. Hell..I got a defect because somebody opened a case because a package got redirected to the wrong town. It did get delivered to the right place of course after a couple days, and tracking proves it, and case closed...but did the defect drop? NOPE. I know I can probably call "customer service" and get it dropped..but it seems to be a hassle from the numerous posts I've read over at the eBay community forums, and don't have that kind of time for silly shit like this.

After getting a defect for an OPENED case, what the hell is the point of resolving it? Pos, neg, neutral...doesn't matter, the transaction is still defective. Good job, eBay. They don't have to lift a finger to take our TRS discounts, just let the buyers do it for them.

got another defect from a lady who bought a dvd. It arrived to her house shown delivered 2 days later. 7 days later she opens a case as not receieved. I reply in the case with tracking info shown delivered. Told her it was delivered on such and such day, please check around the house, someone else might have taken it in. Or ask a neighbor. It was a 5 dollar sealed dvd. So if she insisted she didnt have it I was just going to refund her because its not worth the negative even though I already received a defect. Still dont want negatives all over my account. Well she leaves feedback saying she got it, super fast shipping etc etc A+. Well ebay informs sellers to escalate all these cases. I read on what to do. If you escalate it, it will be ruled in sellers favor and not a defect. Well the buyer closed the case because they were happy. Now Im stuck with a defect on a happy buyer transaction that a case was opened by mistake. Ebay is going to get an earful tomorrow about the last two posts I have.
  • it has been miserable trying to get in touch with ebay lately. I had an issue last week with a comic I sold that showed a problem in paypal but nothing in ebay. I was on the phone waiting for ebay for 30 minutes and they slid me over to paypal within 1 minute of the call and then I sat waiting for paypal to pick up for another 30 minutes at which point I just had to hang up.

This is just irritating. I'm kinda glad I am taking a minor ebay hiatus while I re-organize all my stock. Maybe by the time I am done they will get their sh*t back together.
  • Ebay is such a fuck up. They changed their layout again. Don't know why those morons feel it necessary to change shit every 2 months. And this "hack" shit is going to have long term repercussions and cost them a shitton of money.

They are always tweaking the stupid layout instead of focusing on all the site glitches and actually doing anything productive
  • It makes relisting, shipping and leaving feedback (for the 25% who actually leave it for me) a complete pain in the ass.
  • I like it when they redo the video game area and cluster crap together so you can't even directly search by console until you search something, then mess with the stuff on the left to sort out their screw up.
  • That must be the rare turbo graphix made out of frankincense and myrrh
  • Who knows maybe the one game is magical chase...or just a Kieth Courage lol.
  • Apparently my auction that ended on Sunday attracted a nice woman who thinks I function like layaway or a store card at walmart or something. She bids on this DS game I have and wins it, and I sent notice (invoice) the next morning as I didn't see payment. She apologizes that she doesn't get paid until Thursday and will take care of it then and quickly leaves me a positive feedback.

I'm annoyed but not. I mean it did sell, but now I have to wait around for 5 days to get the money. It's a cheap game too at just $10. But hey at least I'm a "Great deal & sellet" right?
  • I literally sent a message to one buyer in no uncertain terms that I'm not a major retailer, I don't take layaway, and even if I did... layaway requires some kind of payment up front.

This jackhole offered $30 for something I have listed for $200. Was auto-declined, then he came back with $35.

Purchased an N64 from me on the 31st, and it was delivered today (4th) according to tracking. 4 hours after delivery, they open a case saying exactly this:

"have not yet received the n64 are you sure you sent it, if so maybe it is an issue with the usps"

I'm pretty sure I'll be getting a negative out of this for no reason. I won't refund $40 for something that is confirmed as delivered, but this potential scammer is probably going to neg me.

    *EDIT*

The buyer closed the case without messaging me back, and has not left any feedback yet. They are a low feedback user, so I am not sure if they were attempting to scam me, but realized I had a tracking number and decided to forget it, or they were just clueless that the package had arrived 4 hours before they opened the case, but that still wouldn't explain why they are opening a case for "item not received" after only 5 days after they paid.

and you got a defect for that. Just to let you know . So as far as ebay is concerned it was like a negative if you were a top rated seller.

only way to avoid the defect is to escalate teh case with proof of delivery confirmed. Youll win. They wont give you a defect, but by doing this you arent working with the buyer so theyll probably be pissed and could neg you.
  • Its funny that I have 100% feedback now, and 5.0 stars on all my dsr ratings and 0 cases closed without resolution, and 100 % uploaded and validated tracking by carrier within 1 day handeling,  yet i still have a defect rate of 1.3% only 4-5 opened cases without contact or not received cases, or random neg away from losing top rated seller. Its nuts.
  • Update on michajulia_lphtjuy8e

They left positive feedback with this "mean seller."

At least its not a neutral or negative, but this was an obvious scam attempt. I would suggest blocking this user.
  • I didn't take a pic, so you can just imagine this one.

Got this off ebay a few days ago, arrived today -- http://www.ebay.com/itm/221453784041

This guy mailed this with some very powerful protection on it that really impressed me the moment I saw the box when I got home. Free grocery store paper bag turned inside out, then taped it across the bottom and top and once around the middle to keep all the folding job down and to surround it. That's it. A goddamn grocery bag. Surprisingly nothing is damaged other than the flap corner on the right on the top is peeled up slightly but it wasn't a fantastic box in the first place. It was just loose in the box in there with the manual on the bottom. It was taped nicely though, and it came quicker than it should.

Here's the feedback I left: Other than mailing loose in a paper grocery bag around the box, everything great
