  • Bump for Biggie
  • Wanted to bump this thread to remember the B.I.G.

  • Love Biggie. Big Poppa is one of my theme songs.

  • The mix by mister cee is really good, give it a listen
  • "The greatest rapper of all time died on March 9th "

    -Canabis
  • Love Biggie as well...one of the few rappers who just "had it"....took the original concept of Curtis Blow and Jam Master J and made it into a real life tale....Frank White the Big Poppa
  • Heard this a couple of times today, thought it'd be appropriate for the thread...

  • Does any remeber the wicked mixes DJ Rectangle did? The one that stands out is where he took the "going back to cali" beat and had like EVERY rapper spit a verse or two over it? Maaaaaaaaan, them's was the days.
  • Dinosaurs vs Hypnotize

  • R.I.P.  B.I.G  19 years

If anyone is interested the link to the tribute mix still works
  • Keep extra clips for extra shit who's next to flip on?

  • Notorious thugs is a sick song. Definetly some of his finest work.

  • Leave my competition, respirator style. Climb the ladder to success, escalator style.

    Wake up show 'freestyle':

  • His best line:

"I got techniques dripping out my buttcheeks, I sleep on my stomach so I don't fuck up my sheets"
  • not a rap fan but he was a talented guy and a class act above Tupac
  • "Super Nintendo, Sega Genesis. When I was dead broke, man, I couldn't picture this."

    RIP Biggie
  • Wtf is this "when I was broke I couldn't picture this" crap that annoys me.

His mom bought him a SNES, he grew up well off and just decided to sell drugs, he didn't need to.

Tupac discovered him and made him what he was. Such a shame people think piggie is better

Not exactly true, his mom gave him an atari 2600 one year for Christmas and all the kids on his block would come over and play it, he grew up far from well off his mom raised him on a teachers salary.  he chose  to sell drugs to get nicer things thar he couldnt ask his mother for. She ran a strict household and didn't approve of what he was doing and put him out on his own.

by the time the snes came out he was signed to uptown records with puff daddy and had enough cash to buy his own snes, he started to hang out with tupac after the whos the man soundtrack came out and party and bullshit was his first single while pac was in nyc filming the movie juice. Tupac far from discovered big, they both became popular around the same time.

just wanted to clear that up for you
  • Shame on me for not bumping this thread yesterday, I remembered it in the beginning of the week and totally missed it yesterday. The Mixtape link also still works, great mix to listen to.
