Shipping to Australia

Hey guys, I have a dilemma. I need to ship something to Australia (nothing more than a couple dozen manuals) but it seems I can't get it there cheaper than like $16 US. I was wondering if anyone knew another way. Thanks!

  • That sounds about right depending on the weight.

  • Yep, that's the cheapest you're gonna get away with (using a flat-rate envelope).

Just make sure it's not over 4 lbs. though.
  • Unfortunately, the USPS is the cheapest method. Just remember that even though the flat rate envelopes are priority mail, the USPS doesn't actually track them. So if you want tracking you will need to go a different route.
  • You can ship first class international for less, but it will not give you any tracking and it is slow.

edit: expect it to take about 2 weeks at least.

edit2: it also has to be 4lbs or less.

  • ^ Yeah, I was going to mention the 1st-class route...it's $11.60 for a 1-pound package.
  • First class to Australia can take up to and over 3 weeks and there is no tracking available.  If you know and trust the buyer I would say go for it.  As a rule of thumb I never ship first class internationally.  There is just no way to protect yourself as a seller.
