Twisted Tales of Spike Mcfang

Hey guys just started the Twisted Tales of Spike Mcfang tonight after finding it for cheap in the wild. I am not a huge RPG guy, but I think I prefer action RPG's like this, as I am enjoying it quite a but. Just wanted to know your thoughts. If you were wondering I am now on the desert area.

  • Love this game. Just a delightful little action-adventure game. Downside is it's waaaaay too short. Criminally short. I drool at the mere thought of a 15-20 hour Spike McFang adventure. Alas, we'll have to be content with this game... short and sweet!
  • I remember watching a playthrough of the game about a year ago. It looked like a lot of a fun; very quirky. I'm assuming this game is more difficult to find, judging by the cart-only going rate on eBay (and other places).
  • I actually don't mind the length, as it gives me more time to play everything else. But, I know for an RPG 5 hours, or whatever its short length is, is a lot less than the avg RPG.

There are pros and cons to Spike's extreme short length. It can be beaten in 3.5-4.5 hours. Con is it's way too damn short. 8-10 hours surely wasn't asking too much? Pro is, you could beat it in one extremely long sitting, or over a weekend. There's something neat about that, too.

In the end, I still feel they could have at least doubled the game length, but I'm just glad we have it at all

But hey, I can say I finally beat an SNES RPG muahahah! haha

  • Yeah it went too short but it was a fun weekend adventure
  • Yeah this is a good game with lots of great humor. I discovered this game after buying it for 1 dollar at a garage sale, it's actually cheap for how hard it is to find relative to other games.
  • Great game. I picked up a cib for thirty dollars last spring on ebay. It was a great play through and I found it to be a lot of fun. It is a bit on the shorter side, but that doesn't detract from the game overall. One of those few times where a rare game is actually a good game. Im sure I will get around to beating it again some day.
  • Started it yesterday, beat in a few hours ago.

I thought it was really good. I think I will sell it now though, or should I hold onto it if the value is going to go up?

I don`t get why people think that. Almost every rare game I own is awesome, save Action 52.

  • After reading the comments here and the review on RVGFANATIC, I'll be looking to pick this up soon.
