Is this Gradius Arcade a repro?

I was looking for a cheap copy of Gradius II when I crossed some auctions from the seller Happy_moment555 who apparently has sold some pirate games and repros in the past (see pictures below).

On this particular item the box looks like new and is dated 2008 with the old Konami logo. The cart label and manual looks very good as well.



Is this a repro? Couldn't find more info in my quick search across the web.

    I am certain that it is a repro, but damn, those are some impressive graphics for the Famicom...



    Anyhow, I think I've seen the ROM hack of this floating around, so it could be a reproduction. But for $337-ish dollars, that seems to be a lot.

    Konami 2008 should give it away right there. Still, for a repro, it sure is a beauty!!

    Oh man, I'd love to own a boxed reproduction of this. Question, should I also own Gradius alongside this, or is this qualified as an "enhanced" game, like Simon's Quest Redaction?

    It's a pirate. From what I can tell Gradius Arcade was never released on the Famicom, just Gradius II and II.
