The Best Leisure-Games?

So I haven't been feeling very well the past twenty-four hours, but I'm always up for gaming, but nothing too active at all. In fact, something... just mellow and soothing. Any suggestions? Or what are your favorite games to play when you're sick, depressed, bored, or just feel like taking it easy?

I wanted to play Harvest Moon, but it's not in my dorm.

Ice Climber- If only it had come in the mail lol... too bad, raid the post office?
  • Zelda a link to the past or Final Fantasy Mystic Quest
  • Star Tropics.
  • Hey, TWarwick, those are some interesting choices. Didn't expect those. Especially MTPO and RC Pro-Am. Like Dark Light pretty much aluded to... I should be getting that in the mail from a purchase here before too long. If I'm still feeling "meh" maybe I'll pop that one in.
  • You could go new age and pop in Dark Souls, that prety chill now that you rape

But it's not colorful... Now that I think about it, Wind Waker would probably be a good choice.
  • double dragon 2 and Excitebike, easy's to pick up and play.

The monsters are, and you dont have Wind Waker here do you?
  • Tetris

    or

    Ninja Gaiden
  • Really? Ninja Gaiden? I mean, I know that game's difficulty is slightly over-rated, but leisure? =O

I could definitely see Tetris, though.
  • I like to play ice climber when i dont know what to play or only want to play for a minute. pick it up and you can put it right back down at anytime.

Anything black box is fun to pick up and play when you want a quick game without getting into something too time consuming
  • When I'm sick and dont wanna leave the bed, I like to play Shining Force or Uncharted Waters.
  • "Color a Dinosaur"...puts you right to bed.
  • I think Zelda a link to the past is probably one of the best sick day games ever made, I should know, I used to skip school to play it. Another personal fave is either of the first two Suikoden games or Grandia. Always a good time, especially when you're laying in bed.
  • Peggle LOL

    or Plants Vs Zombies.

And as for the Megaman, I'd rather play videomation than colour a dinosaur.... Even though I can't draw worth shit in that
  • ^^^Plants vs. Zombies!! Awesome game!

I'd also say go to www.jayisgames.com and play Robot Wants Kitty and Sugar, Sugar. There's a ton of other great games on there.
  • I needed some downtime today so I played Paper Mario for N64. Happy about the choice.
  • The best chill game ever: Sim City for SNES
  • Anticipation
  • Dw, Metroid, romance, uncharted...
  • ALttP, SNES Harvest Moon, Animal Crossing, any RPG really. Morrowind/Oblivion/Skyrim too, if you have them.
  • Point and click games.

    Leisure Suit Larry

    Monkey Island
  • Dr. Mario, or more specifically Virus Buster in Brain Age 2. Everything about it is extremely relaxing and mellow. The Sudoku in BA2 can also be pretty relaxing if you're into that kinda thing.
  • Animal Crossing is a great game to play recreationally. You can literally spend as little or as much time as you want and still get lots of in-game stuff done. It was lightly raining where I live today and it reminded me of fishing in the game.
  • I like playing Mario 3 when I just want to take it easy. The game is very easy and it's easy to relax to. Easy. Easy. Easy. lol
  • I like to chill out with puzzle games, Tetris, Kirby's Avalanche/Robotnik's Bean Machine, Columns, Dr Mario ect.

That's my pick too. The graphics are colorful, the music is relaxing and it's just an all around peaceful atmosphere. As long as you don't have any disasters that is!

  • Any of the old-school RPG series'(8-16bit) like Dragon Warrior, Final Fantasy, Phantasy Star and countless others. The style of these games lends a calm, relaxing vibe where you can just sit back and chill.
